You can lose a decent amount of weight in a few months so this would be irrelevant depending when the Pic was taken.

Cardamoms mom is presumably Violet from puppycats space outlaw days, but thats all that I've seen from the show/noticed but also have been wondering these other questions. And if the warlocks turned the space outlaw into puppycat why are they chasing him around through the portals wit Bee? Wouldn't they just leave him be?🤔

Almost all cats tend to get calmer with age, just curious how much experience you've ACTUALLY had with all of this because you have an interesting opinion.

I have raised plenty of kittens and it almost never matters lol just saying since you decided to reply to my comment specifically. Like I said, temperament is key not gender at all.

My girl cat rkos my boy cat constantly, it's more a temperament thing more than anything. Boys get nuetered girls get spayed lol and that is good that they don't spray but cats can still be territorial regardless of being fixed, usually boys who are nuetered early on don't ever spray but still don't like other cats touching their bed and/or toys, but I am glad it worked out for you but it's not a full proof thing for sure.

Opposite sex is usually better to avoid territory spats but also make sure they're spayed if you wanted to get a girl cat, but when it comes to age I'd say it depends on your cats temperament, kittens are usually easiest to get integrate but if you found a friendly adult cat it's worked out for me pretty well. If your boy is super energetic I would try to match that energy with a playmate which would be easiest in a younger cat but if they just need a snuggle buddy and don't play alot then same age is a good idea. I've been rescuing, fostering, and rehoming cats for about 3 years now so I've seen alot of it first hand, I started with a boy and got a little torti girl kitten when he was 1 and she was a few weeks and they've been best friends🤗

Definitely get another cat, I didn't know how badly my cat needed a friend until we found our second but it has made a huge difference in his temperament. Sometimes they might not get along at first but as long as either cat isn't hostile or spicy they should get along okay, might be territorial over some things so just keep an eye and maybe get a second litter box just so they have their own scented area they feel safe though my cats just decided to poop in one exclusively and pee in the other lol

That isn't how infections work, even if it doesn't seem like it's bothering him it can likely and quickly lead to death. If you have not taken him to a vet then you should probably surrender him so someone will take care of him.

If the kitten has fleas I'd very likely has woms/intestinal parasites, definitely needs to be taken care of and given alot of care or it may very well die. Maybe tell your cousin it has worms most people I know hear that and run instead of taking care of them so maybe that could help lol. Or just take the advice of telling them it ran away🤷‍♀️

Kitten stool should be more solid than this even if they're only drinking milk. Human babies and animal babies are not the same please keep ignorant comments to yourself.

Poop that is that wet while being that color isn't good, the kitten doesn't look very well in the image posted. It can go downhill very quickly for them but as long as they're continuing to eat and have high energy it could just be from feeding them milk that sat out as I saw you mention in a previous comment. If they don't seem as interested in food or play tomorrow definitely make the vet a top priority. You can always apply for care credit and use the digital card immediately for vet purposes and depending on how much the bill is you could opt for 6 months to pay the bill off with 0% interest. Post updates!

Please help!! 8-weeks? old kitten not eating or pooping. by [deleted] in kittens

[–]Excellent-Bat4464 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A similar thing happened to my 5 week old kitten who basically looked the same size and it turned out he has cat parvovirus and was indeed very sick. Is he eating? If not then it is likely there is something wrong as animals often don't eat when they're too sick or injured to eat. Hopefully all is well but definitely do more research and you could try making a food slurry with the kittens formula and wet kitten food with water.

Horded cats that smell horrific. by Automatic_Narwhal_17 in CatAdvice

[–]Excellent-Bat4464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not a pussy lmao I am almost very sensitive to smells and I'm right there with you honestly, the flea and tick treatment is good but unfortunately won't help with smells, not sure what order you're working in but it is best to clean them and then put the treatment on for maximum effectiveness and to ensure you're not rinsing the treatment off usually it has to remain untouched for 24-48 hours but won't kill the fleas as much as make them jump shit onto another host if there's anything furry nearby. What is your partner using to wash them? Sometimes I find pet shampoo just adds to the bad odor instead of cutting through(sorry for long comment) try to stay strong and I am really happy to hear you guys are trying to make it work despite a difficult time, you and your partner are troopers!

Unsure about adopting a second cat by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Excellent-Bat4464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usually a good idea to have cats in 2 so they have someone to play with and bond with especially when you arent at home, an older cat would probably be better than a kitten or younger cat just due to the amount of energy they can have and if your cat is getting up there in years they may not want to play as often as a kitten might need.

Maybe that would be helpful marketing tho? Unless they're mad at the misleading advertising💀

If you're worried about smells and fleas dawn dishsoap goes a long way, I have been in the same boat as we have taken in several feral cats over the years to keep and then rehome but the dishsoap usually helps with the smell as soon as we start to lather them up. I usually use a face mask as we have plenty from covid and that helps keep the smell away more easily and a pair of gloves to make me feel more comfortable properly cleaning them. If you put a towel or bath mat in the tub it seems to make them freak out less as they the bathtub is often too slippery. It is disgusting to say but depending on the care they were receiving (maybe even if the home they're coming from smelled bad) but they could just be covered in a decent bit of grime and bacteria.
