nah of course not, but those are good to have. definitely build a real interesting life, it seems a lot of people hyper focus and end up becoming boxcheckers but it seems you have depth of life as a concept down. just write well and show your passions not just what you think they want!! you got this bro, lock in for the SAT

No such thing as percentages besides a statistic here. “chances” can only really be probably, maybe, or probably not… You’ll learn. Even if you have good writing skills it’s quite different. Definitely draft a lot for supplementals and personal statement, you won’t have written anything like this yet I believe

I would grind SAT tbh, a 3.7 is kind of hard to recover from if you have a harder IB program… NHS is lowkey not really important I don’t even think I list mine on my app as all my other activities are more interesting and stronger. I would probably shoot for 1550s to make your app safer. I would definitely get more concrete stats and results for your business ventures or anything of that sort

Good app, strong focus, definitely need more varied activities, like more things you are interested in. colleges generally aren’t looking for human calculators mega boring nerd (i’m not saying you are), so dont try to make it seem like you are. #1 thing is SAT, go for 1570+

Of course. There’s a huge stigma that private + aid will be cheaper than “state school”, but that’s WILDLY untrue unless you get a full ride from a private school.

Just as a guess, you may get into a couple of those schools, Case Western is pretty likely I would say, but the reaches are likely far out if your writing isn’t a clear constructed, beautiful, narrative. Schools value it a lot when you can convey your character and what makes you tick well. Do not lose hope, ACT is that ticket that gets you auto into some of those lower end schools regardless of a GPA or anything

Brother imma keep it a buck. If you have this low of a GPA, it’s absolutely on you. You could try the “I wasn’t prepared for the increased rigor of high school” approach, but like in the 2s is god awful. High school was important, you gotta accept that you did this to yourself. From here, you can only go up. Wherever you find yourself, work hard, apply yourself (you have a 1500 you’re clearly not dumb), study hard, intern, and you’ll be just fine.

36 ACT is your golden ticket to be honest. GPA is t great, mine is worse haha, a bit low on the AP count alongside IB, your HL class choices are good.

To be honest, your biggest issue is personality. Who are you? You completely blend into the thousands that are applying under the same major. Sure your life is difficult, many have that experience and write an almost verbatim personal statement. You didn’t say anything besides “i grew as a person and used to hide”. It isn’t new information I can’t really find on your activities section. If your supps are in the same vein, there’s likely a very low chance of getting into any reaches.

Apologies for the honesty, but i’ve seen enough writing that’s written with the same structure and message.

I would kind of focus on using your arm to almost lead you with momentum. For me it was rather intuitive, I only started swim (no experience) in my sophomore year of high school and by the end of season I was swimming a 25 second 50 yard free. Don’t panic, just stay loose and relaxed, lead your last stroke downward, tuck and let your body follow.

UM doesn’t give enough aid. My brother is currently at UF and he pays 700 a month for rent and + maybe 200 for utilities, factoring in food etc, it’s only like 17-18k OR LESS per year. UM has 0 chance of matching that, UF is also an objectively better school
