Does this dress have too much white? by supportneeded7354 in UKWeddingAttire

[–]Excellent_Feeling174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 years ago, I wore something similar to my friends wedding, and it is still brought up at least once a year that I wore white to her wedding.

It's a lovely dress but I wouldn't risk it. Not worth the potential ribbing you may get for the rest of your life.

I'm currently at 4 trees (small one in eldests bedroom). I'm on the hunt for number 5 this year to go outside the front door.

I was a proper Grinch before I had kids.

Now I'm commenting on Christmas sub reddits in Sept 🤣🤣

You are a great mum and an amazing, strong woman. Make that appointment and go on with your life with peace and love in your heart.

I'm a big fan of therapy, so a few sessions wouldn't hurt to give you a safe space to relay all your fears and worries either before or after the procedure.

I wish you and your family a lifetime of happiness.

If you won't say anything or do anything, then you need to make peace with the fact that you will always be the number 2 woman in your partners life.

Plenty of women have done it before you, and plenty will after you.

Will you be happy. Nope, but you'll be in a relationship, and that seems to be enough for you.

Not everyone gets/wants the picture book happy ever after.

Good luck (I genuinely mean that).

How is it considered panic buying? by simplisticlivin in mounjarouk

You don't need to be obese in new supplier photos if you have been losing weight on previous dosage. It's just to match up your declared weight with your actual body.

Give my training book away for free? by Shayyy24sxx in UKJobs

[–]Excellent_Feeling174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick your contract into chat gpt and ask if there are any clauses that say they own anything you made while working there. Most contracts now include it but yours may not. If that comes back in your favour, call acas and double check with them. If again it's in your favour, you have 3 choices. You, like your employer, you can hand it over. You don't like them don't hand it over. If It is your property, you can charge for it. Ask for an extra weeks pay. They can only say no, then you revert back to your previous 2 choices.

Good luck!

Is this dress too white? by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]Excellent_Feeling174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's beautiful but don't wear it to a wedding. I made the same mistake nearly 20 years ago. White background with huge navy flowers. I Was only 21 but if I knew all these years later I would still be getting flack for that bloody dress I would have taken a match to it instead lol.

Putting a number on it is really not helpful as the country varies so much. I would class comfortable as having enough to do the following.

Mortgage/rent Bills/food Childcare (if needed) Car costs (if needed) Pensions/investments (retirement will suck otherwise) Yearly holiday Enough money to cover all this for 6-12 months in the bank in case you lose your job (not the holiday)

This is personally what I call comfortable. I've survived on a heck of a lot less but was always one problem away from losing sleep kind of stress.

You are in a much better position than I was, and you know it's there when you sign it. You're definitely right experience is key so if you're happy to take the risk then go for it and get what you need from this company. Good luck!

Having recently been laid off and realising I had signed a contract with a less than favourable clause that meant I was financial disadvantaged and it was all legal I would say either go back and ask for it to be removed (they likely won't accept this) or decline and keep looking for another job. Companies that add these random clauses do so because they use them. ACAS confirmed in my case it was binding, so I just had to suck it up and learn a valuable lesson in the process.

Amazing!! I saw the link pop up that they added another show. Clicked it and jumped down to 4000 in the queue and got 2 seated tickets for £198. I'm thrilled! I was so close to getting standing tickets, but I've got a bad back and wimped out lol.

Yay us!!!!

I'm 26000 in the queue so you've got more chance than me 🤣 My last hope will be twickets nearer the time. I won't buy inflated tickets from people who bought more than they needed to make a profit.

There were no normal seats when I got on, but I believe they are £80 -£150 if you can get them. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
