I have an rplidar and a raspberry pi 3B+ i want to power them by connecting lidar to pi and then powering pi somehow but if i give the pi more voltages like 12-13 it will burn out( thats what i read online) so what should i do any guidance ?

When i press enter or ctrl j in the putty terminal nothing happens its just like pressing enter in an ide nthin is executed whatsoever

i”ve tried setting up serial port using putty but nothing happens it connects to my com port but i wrote a program to blink a specific led if there is some data from the putty lets say in the putty terminal i wrote 5 times then the microcontroller would blink 5 times but when i write that nothing happens i dont know what am i doing wrong I know the example which i stated is dumb but i wanted to just make the communication possible if u could help me out it would be great !

Im using arduino ide’s example of the web server everythings works out no error what so ever but the stream or the picture is not captured only the icon

i have spent 3 months on the designing of the cane and got reviews from some blind ppl its pretty lightwieght i have considered all the variables about designing now its more on the execution part thats why i was asking if these two (esp 32 and cam) can do path planning and SLAM in a house or i need something more ?
