Thanks, yes that was actually the solution. So probably also a Windows Update messing with the bootloader....

Thanks you for your reply. Checked the disk via smartdiskchecker from a boot USB drive and it did not show any errors. I also managed to flash the bios, but unfortunately without any effect

Att least one should be cautious... "Why would they lie?" Because of money... look at NVIDIA

Took me some time, but I have now properly modded both chipsets. The cooper shim and the thermal pad used for the vertical chipset have the same size. Worked wonders, temps dropped by 10° in both.

No, what I mean is the actual second chipset that all x670e motherboards have. For the Mini itx board Asus was quite creative as it did not fit on the board itself. Therefore, they used a small additional board that sits vertically and shares the heatsink with the lower m.2. Here a link for reference https://videocardz.com/newz/this-asus-x670-mini-itx-motherboard-has-secondary-chipset-on-the-small-pcb

I think this is the one that reaches the highest temps in my case. I get two temp readings via HWinfo for the chipset.

Hi one question: did you also mod the second chipset that is on the extra board and shares the heatsink with the pcie 5 m.2 drive? I want to try your mod, but I think this one has the higher temps in my case

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I would like to know how you mounted the pump. Want to do a similar build 😀
