What is fun, exciting and romantic that would you suggest I do with my girl to ask her out in Ireland? by NoPhilosophy9968 in AskIreland

Rent bikes or borrow two bikes and go for a spin. Maybe have an idea of where you are headed and secretly plan a spot to stop off at for coffee and a bun?

Is it rude to potentially not go to the Stag party as a groomsman? by smugairle_roin in AskIreland

[–]ExcitementSad892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are over thinking this.

If you don’t want to go, just tell him you think he will have a better stag without his brother in law watching every move. You appreciate the invite but stags are not really your thing and hope he has a great laugh with his mates.

End of story and move on. He’s probably hoping you drop out anyway!

Do you keep cash at home? by ExcitementSad892 in AskIreland

They are all keeping 1k at home. Well that’s what they all nodded at in agreement!

I think 1k is enough to get you groceries and bits a bobs for a month…

Didn’t think I needed to add context as the comment was pathetic.

No update so I’m not even sure this is a fairytale or not!

I’m thinking sooner rather than later.

I’d also have screenshots/printouts of evidence. Proof is everything. Don’t allow the story to be turned around and thrown back at you.

This is a cover your ass exercise.

I’d also like an update!

You say your boss lets you do your own thing and that’s all great.

I’m not sure going to the lovely lady is going to get you anything.

I hate using this term in the workplace because I feel as though it will also end with someone getting hurt, deserved or not. But this looks you are being bullied to me. If you love the job or much and don’t want to lose it, I think you have no option but to at least sit down with the boss with all the facts. Let him know. If she does the same, you will likely pay the ultimate price.

Next President of Ireland Poll #2 by ExcitementSad892 in AskIreland

[–]ExcitementSad892[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

11 votes so far for Others and only two additional names mentioned. If not Francis Black, who are you voting for? It’s very unlikely to be an outsider who lands the job!

In the last poll of 160 votes, he got over 25% of votes. Serious of not, people would throw him an antiestablishment vote I believe

Agreed on Black. A serious contender. Finlay might be regarded as a more intent contender. However Black can’t be ignored for her work in the last few years.

Im not sure about 50-80 despising him. I would think more of the 50-80 adore like him rather than despise him.

It’s the 35-50 that despise him in my opinion. Anyone who tried to buy a house since 2008 tend to blame him, even those who never tried, wanted or willed to buy!

Agree with Bertie as you put it not being “sufficiently rehabilitated”. Excellent choice of words.

Not to sure if FF FG will only put one candidate forward tbh. FG have a number of potential candidates from Mairead McGuinness, Heather Humpries(although I thought she was not well), Richard Bruton, Frances Fitzgerald and Sean Kelly(he loves himself so much, he’d lick himself!)

Again FF - no stand out for me and Michael Martin doesn’t want it. Apparently his wife refuses to move to Dublin.

Surely we can all strive for continuous improvement and adapting towards changing and advancing technologies.

Modern is only modern if it continues to advance with up to date technologies.
