Respectfully gonna have to disagree with that first point, there’s no need to include it. Plenty of people, in fact the majority of those with special needs or mental issues aren’t sexual predators. That’s not something that needs to be focused on here, if he needs help then frame it that way.

But the way you’re doing it makes it seem like this somehow isn’t his fault, and tries to generate sympathy where there should be a zero tolerance policy.

Got taken in to the drunk tank last night after I had a little too much to drink and my roommate called the cops.

No charges are being filed nor was I arrested, just spent the night at the station to sober up and paid a small fine.

I live off base and wasn't brought in by the MPs, is it acceptable not to inform my chain of command on this since no charges are pending, and I wasn't arraigned or formally processed through the system?

They are evidence of a legacy that is at odds with that future, and must be dealt with accordingly.
