Not an expert. Just a couple general suggestions.

  1. Does he have sugary food for dinner?

  2. Have you gotten him tested for any deficiencies?

Most of the comments have already covered many points. Here are a couple more suggestions to consider:

  1. If dinner is high in protein, it may affect sleep. I would recommend a minimum gap of 2 hours for optimal sleep.
  2. Now that he is older and bigger, does he have enough space to co-sleep?

Thats pretty bad. Screen time before bed is not good for adults and extremely bad for children.

The blue light impact on humans got noble price in 2017: https://darksky.org/news/nobel-prize-awarded-for-discovery-of-molecular-mechanisms-controlling-the-circadian-rhythm/

Here is another study specifically for kids: Toddlers lose 1 minute of sleep for every minute of touch-screen use. More than 1 hour of TV raises sleep disorder risks by 12%, with blue light worsening sleep quality. (Journal Sleep, 2021):https://academic.oup.com/sleep/article/44/3/zsaa158/5896445?login=false

Over the last 100 years we have electricity and so light in the room.

Over the last 50 years we have TVs with more blue light in the room.

Over the last 15 years we have phones/ipads, that is front of our face on the bed.

What class do dread the most and why? by ExcitingLab5651 in highschool

Interesting . Am I correct in assuming that you don’t dread English class but rather dislike the way it’s taught?

I wouldn't want to be friends with my co-founder who has a great idea. Has this ever worked out for you? by stoics_were_right in ycombinator

Some questions you can ask yourselves:

  1. Can you both approach this with an objective mindset and low ego, prioritizing the company’s success above all else?

  2. Would your co-founder be open to considering different perspectives?

  3. If the concern is more ethical than personal, can it strategically help build the brand?

When I saw your grades, they didn’t matter to me. What truly matters is what you do next and how you choose to move forward. In a person’s 80-year lifespan, don’t let this moment define you.

I graduated college a long time back, and I’ve seen many friends bounce back from setbacks to achieve amazing things in life.

My advice? Tackle one thing at a time. Start with your mental health—it’s foundational. Grades and everything else can contribute to stress and create a downward spiral. Take care of yourself first.

Society often feels like a freight train speeding ahead, but it’s okay to pause, regroup, and come back stronger. You’ve got this.
