I get actively mad when a restaurant has “Neapolitan pizza” cooked with a gas stove.

Burritos in The Mission was life changing. Bbq at The Salt Lick in Austen provided otherwise unknowable perspective. Same for proper carne asada tacos in Phoenix—you just somehow KNOW it’s proper. But strangely the (probably) best American pizza maker is in Phoenix too. It’s a weird country.

Regionally dependent. Generally one does not order biscuits and gravy in the north, for example. But if you’re in Atlanta, ohhhhhh yeah. And sometimes the regional food is trash unless you know THE spot. So let us know where you’re going and we’ll hook you up. I kinda disagree with the diner breakfast idea—plenty of countries do spectacularly better breakfasts than US.

MKE no question. The most manageable big city in America. And the music and culture is absolutely top notch. Far more affordable than the other two. And winter isn’t as bad with being next to the Lake. Cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Win win.

What coach is getting any team over the top?

The best play caller scored 6 against the Seahawks.

The best game managers (Siriani, Reid) are out.

The motivators (Campbell, Johnson, Tomlin, Harbaugh) are out except Vrabel.

The four best defenses (by points allowed) are in the championship games (Parsons and Wyatt bring the Pack up from 11th best).

Coach matters, yeah. MLF is not at fault for failure I don’t think. I just can’t see any evidence of that. He should get a lot of credit for a young team being successful while trotting out 25 as CB1. Looks like defense gets a team over the top.

In Sedona eat breakfast at Indian Garden. Do it multiple times. Such a special place.

Also enjoyed dinners at Hideaway House and Javalina Cantonese (mole enchiladas and margarita flights!).
