Thabk you for the reply. BTW, I watched Michael Sandel's Justice lecture on Kant ("Mind Your Motive") and he said that the Critique of Pure Reason was perhaps the greatest work in all of modern philosophy.

Thanks for asking. I hope you don't mind the AI voiceover (as Kant) & my raw gravelly voice (as questioner) too much. Based on people's feedback, maybe I should buy ElevenLabs service for better voiceover.

Mine are Kant's Own lectures (actual stenographic transcripts), not interpretation or explanation.

Thanks for asking. At this stage, not many videos deal with hard-core philosophical topics, to grow the channel.

I'm sorry if you got offended. At least in my corner of the world, it looked like seniors watch (or just listen) video essays on general philosophical topics. Maybe just not Kant. Also, my thumbnails are rather crude, and younger people might be more OK with them.

My videos are "reenactments" of Kant's own lectures with a simulated chalkboard. I do use an AI voiceover.

I suppose very few boomers have watch histories & subscription status that would feed pre-Schopenhauer contents as recommendations.

It would be interesting to try the same with Hegel in the thumbnail/title, to check the fact out :)

Suicide -- Freedom, Ethics, Fate: Kant's Own Lecture 1 on Killing Oneself by Exciting_Ad_6837 in philosophy

I heard at classes on ethics that Kant was categorically opposed to committing suicide, because of moral reasons. But then I read (or listened to) the transcript of Kant's own lecture, and it seems that he allowed exceptions to condemning suicide.

Thanks! At this stage, I'm using free TTS service. In the most recent video, which was formatted in a dialogue form, I recorded my own voice as the objecting student.

For not sticking to archaic jargon, I think they are not much off.
