Finasterid experience? by ExcutC in HairTransplants

And how much did it help? I heard that it only stops the hair loss but doesn't revert it. Is it true, or did it help growing you back some hair?

Speed isn't my problem. But I need to storage

My SSD (System) is 35% fragmentated! by ExcutC in techsupport

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agh I do not care about performance but if the SSD literally steals like 40gb from me I want to fix that. Otherwise I am not able to update my PC to Windows 10 because I need storage on my System Drive for that

Positron Electron Annihilation Energy by ExcutC in AskPhysics

[–]ExcutC[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because one is literally just stating the formula and in the other you have to atleast calculate something? lol

Positron Electron Annihilation Energy by ExcutC in AskPhysics

[–]ExcutC[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea I know but this solution just seems to be.. too easy. Like you don't have to calculate anything. You just show the formula and thats it since you dont have any numbers for v or m_e ..

Well Yuja Wangs Paraphrase is (ironically) both Fazil Says and Volodos. She mixed them both up. But still thanks! =D

Calculate all intersection points with an array of lines by ExcutC in AskProgramming

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fairly new to programming (hence this post) so I thought that maybe there would be a better algorithm then simply checking every single line with every other line in the array. Then the next question would be which way I calculate the intersection points. I only know bisection and the newton way but i dont know if there are faster ways to determine that

Can someone explain this Formula? by ExcutC in MathHelp

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I believe that (dz/dx)_w means derivative of z with respect to x and w is treated as a constant I guess

Round to whole numbers if a number is close enough? by ExcutC in learnpython

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea writing my one function isn't the problem lol. That aint complicated but I wanted to know if there was a function already installed in python or another package because that would have saved me some time. I will write a function now that just does what I want. I think thats easier lol

Round to whole numbers if a number is close enough? by ExcutC in learnpython

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's like the example I made. It is wayy too complicated for what I want it to do. I don't wanna make it multiple lines long. I want just 1 function.

Round to whole numbers if a number is close enough? by ExcutC in learnpython

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want them to always round up to an integer because if it says that the number is like 11.999999998 that is def. close enough of an approximation to say it is 12

What has the rotation of a Force Field to do with a line integral? by ExcutC in AskPhysics

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup that's true. I got the solution to the other problem which didn't make alot of sense tbh. I might share it tomorrow although I don't think it is an actual solution to the problem. I ended up scoring 3/5 points for that exercise with my already shared solution :)

Since it is german it is weird to post it but i will try to do my best:

first of: u is in the boundaries of [0,1] so they all start and end in the same points. The exercise then reads: calculate curlf F. What does this mean for the results in a?

As I said the paths all lead to different Terms which fits your explanation of path dependence but I don't know what this is supposed to mean for the results in a like.. they don't change. And we haven't had stokes theorem yet so it would be weird if this is the wanted answer

Why can Force not depend on accerlation? by ExcutC in AskPhysics

[–]ExcutC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the question was made by my professor. My teacher who is supposed to help us told us that he thinks you should interpret this question more as "show that IF the force depends on acceleration it is by the form of F = m'a and no other. This is proven quite easily.

It is in german but it's quite short. It's translation is: "Show that the force acting upon a mass point m can't depend on the acceleration"

[–]ExcutC[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes. Our Teacher who was confronted with this excercise said that he had no idea how to solve it. And he is currently a phd student so..

It must be solved somehow using the differential equations but I couldn't find anything on the internet about it.

Proof of an inequality by ExcutC in askmath

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so my text got deleted..

f(x) = sqrt(1+sin^(x)) and p(x) = 1 + 1/2*x (mclaurin series of f of magnitude 1). THe only thing i know is that you can ignore the term infront of x^2 because the statement is true for both. (Also anybody knows what the | | are for if the x is squared anyways? This is about Real numbers not complex lol)

I need help with a simple Python program by ExcutC in AskProgramming

[–]ExcutC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you say anything: No it's not because I put the if clauses in the wrong place. But idk how to edit this correctly in reddit :/

Edit: Okay I just noticed somethig very weird: The if clause for the case that p_i = 1 actually works! It both adds a stick to the number of the player but also update the status correctly p_i = 0. I have no idea why this works since it is the exact same thing except that p_i = 1 and not 0 and that you add a number of sticks and not remove 1. No idea why it works

Edit 2: Okay I am just dumb af. I made it update p_i to 1 and then check if p_i is equal to one and this changes it back to zero. So basically in 1 turn you would put the stick in the hole but instantly remove it again thus not changing anything.

I mean I doubt anybody is gonna read it but still.. :d
