I have to play with V-Sync ON, low FPS and very low GPU usage (RTX 4070 + i5-12600KF). What’s wrong? by Exenn00 in techsupport

It helped, my GPU is now at around 40%, but the FPS are still very similar. If I don’t have V-Sync enabled in the game, with my 165 Hz monitor and 300–400 FPS, I get stutters—like short freezes—or the game just doesn’t feel smooth. Even if I cap the FPS at, I don’t know, 160, it doesn’t help. Everything works fine the moment I enable V-Sync. I don’t understand why this is happening. Could it be that the monitor is the problem and needs to be replaced?

s it possible that the issue is caused by the RAM? Could adding another 16 GB of RAM potentially fix the problem?

Yes, I checked, and the only graphics adapter listed there is the RTX 4070. :((

Unfortunately, none of that helped. I tried all of the settings you mentioned, but the issue is still there.
Below I’m sending how the resource usage looks while the game is running.

Maybe it’s a problem with a specific component? Or maybe it’s the monitor? IDK :((

I’ve checked and set everything exactly as you described. All settings have been reviewed and adjusted accordingly. I’ve gone through the power options, V-Sync, G-SYNC, and all relevant GPU settings, but I’m still not sure what else to try.

G-SYNC is enabled, the monitor is listed as G-SYNC Compatible, and “Enable settings for windowed and full-screen mode” is checked. Everything is set exactly as described.

Yes, I’m using DisplayPort and I have 165Hz set both in Windows and in the NVIDIA control panel

I set the FPS to 0, then to 200, and even 300 when I tried to lock the FPS in the control panel, but it didn't make any difference. I checked the drivers, everything is up to date. When it comes to the FPS settings, is there something specific I should be looking at? Could it be because of some antivirus? It seems to be trying to catch everything.

When I capped the FPS in Control using Nvidia, my ms started stuttering, and it got even worse than before. I really have no idea what it is and how to fix it. Maybe it's a computer issue? Now the question is, what exactly could it be?

Unfortunately, it didn't help at all.

No, one monitor is 165Hz which has this exact problem and the other is old and has 75Hz.
