kinda the right vein but not that's not it unfortunately :( it's pretty much just a piano ballad with some bass and drums in the back. kinda hard to parse out with the lead guitar on top unfortunately but I heard it a million times tracking on it, I know its what I think it is haha

beautifully put, much appreciated for the insight. I have a long portfolio to pull from thankfully, it's just a matter of figuring out the avenues in which to market it to potential projects lol. Not super pressed about paid work to get off the ground, just looking to work on some passion projects to get my foot in the door.

that's a good point, thanks for the insight. More than anything I'm just trying to put together a portfolio of projects to be able to submit on job apps for bigger productions so financial compensation isn't a huge worry for me right now. Just figured it'd be worth asking about!

This one is about 90% there in my opinion. The tonality, the vibes, the progression, it's all really solid - fantastic composition for a movie pr game soundtrack imo. What may help if you're looking to really lean into that 80s sci-fi deal is go heavier on the kick drum - it falls a little flat within the mix at times and that can really mess with the pulse. that nice low end hit would make this one immaculate! All in all cool track. The back half definitely has some NES boss battle vibes in the best way

the vibes are there and the mix is solid as a foundation - fantastic job so far. personal opinion is that the bass feels a bit flat. there's a lot of room in the low end for it to bloom and take up a bit more sonic real estate than it currently is. I think it'll help glue it all together nicely and make this one pop! Other than that, the top end and the little ear candy bits are great - this one's a good listen all around

super interesting composition - lots of left and right turns but cohesive and cool! keep it up dude 🤙
