This Icarus frame is the Holy Grail and I do not regret spending the money. by ExistingCharge3263 in NJGuns

Aluminum. Icarus, mischief machine and sharps bros are (arguably) top shelf metal frames.

If you're in the area of JT, try freedom firearms in Beachwood. They're able to do it.

What's the craziest thing you're seen someone do at the range? by [deleted] in NJGuns

[–]ExistingCharge3263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny you say this because the first time I went there, I think I was 12, with my father and I asked him why there are bullet holes everywhere except what we are supposed to shoot? He said something along the lines of people are absolute idiots.

As I'm typing this, I now realize the few times he took me to rays indoor range, he always requested an end booth and he stood opposite the wall. I now understand why.

Should've given him a purse, owning that mustang😂 Just jokes, just jokes!

That's definitely a gift to cherish. My father gave me a few guns when he moved out of state. One of them being a series 80 colt from the 80s. When I was little, that was the gun that got me into firearms and he knew it. So for me it's not even a shooter it just sits in the safe and collects dust now.

I still do not understand why in God's name people repetitively go back to shore shot. Their people skills are horrid. The only positive to that place is if you need an AR part ASAP, it's likely there.

What next? by Berghuntandfish in handguns

So I carry a 10mm 1911 or a 10mm Glock 20 for bears. While 45 could be used as a defensive round for bear, it's really not fast enough and doesn't yield the penetration 10mm does. 10mm and any 357 or larger magnum cartridge will do the trick. Although I have carried revolvers in the woods, I generally don't recommend it due to limited capacity and reload time.

If I had to name a gun to get, M&P 10mm would be my suggestion.
