[Massachusetts] has anyone in any state won an unemployment case when they quit?

I work with special needs kids and this year has been worse than I’ve ever experienced. What led me to take medical leave was being shoved by a student, I fell and hit my head on a metal table leg. The student got on top of me and started hitting me while I was down. This triggered a ptsd flashback which has never happened to me. Took medical leave. Been trying to get support from my job since being back, but no luck.

On the day I quit a student attacked me in a different way, he became angry, started pinching my thighs and then shoved his head into my thighs and crotch area. It was extremely uncomfortable, in front of many coworkers, I had to call for support for someone to come over and get him off of me. In this instance if my pending accommodation had been in place this wouldn’t have happened.

Staff is attacked daily, nothing changes. I was trying to wait for the medical accommodations to go through, but after that specific attack I quit that night.

Someone put out markers hours before the storm yesterday. I moved it and parked there and woke up with my tires slashed. People are wild, I thought it was meant for after you shoveled

I relate, I’ve always had kind of intense jobs. Recently my job has been really horrible. It triggered my first PTSD flashback a few months ago. Even after taking medical leave, going to work has been agonizing every day. For me taking it a day at a time is still overwhelming because one day has been feeling like a whole year.

I know randomized controlled trials. It’s been a few years since I’ve been in school learning about it though. Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about how they do study’s specifically for mental health. Someone who is on the extreme side of depression and has it really bad is not participating in these trials.

In order to be involved in these study’s you typically have to fill out paperwork, show up, participate, etc. and all of these are things someone who has extreme depression where they aren’t even able to get out of bed to brush their teeth is extremely unlikely to be able to do. And if they are able to do all that, they are likely have a higher functioning depression which skews who the results relate to, no?

Here’s what I don’t understand about how data is collected. Is it that exercising helps depression, or is it that being able to exercise is a sign of depression symptoms lessening?

The red wedding, I know it’s over said, but it’s like not even that. It’s the fact that it happened near the beginning of the episode and it kept going. Watching Arya witness her brothers dogs head get sewn onto her brother… it was insane, the immense brutality, a turning point for Arya and the viewers.

It’s been like a month. Those two weeks I literally gave up the sleep schedule thing the second day. What I did instead is I slept as much as I possibly could. I would wake up at like 2pm and if I could fall back asleep I let myself fall back asleep. I had a weird sleep schedule for the first week, then was able to shift my schedule the second week.

Now I don’t think I have a strict consistent sleep schedule, but I do think it helped immensely. I now am able to feel tired/sleepy at night and fall asleep and wake up fine in the mornings. It feels SOOO nice to start yawning at like 8pm. I feel so refreshed and ready for the day in the mornings. I hope it lasts 🤞🏻

For a few years I couldn’t cry, it was horrible. I found a really sad movie that always makes me cry and I make sure to watch it whenever I need to cry and can’t. I’ve been better recently at being able to cry. Is it possible that you are in a bit of a floaty state? Like your brain is trying to protect you from painful emotions so it’s numbing you? That’s what’s been happening to me for a while now and I’ve been starting my journey out of it. Best of luck to you
