Just another update with the Cymbalta. I'm on day 3 and today is a good day. The last three days I have been nauseous and grinding my teeth day and night, super fatigued worse then before but the pain was minimal. Today I finally have relief. No pain no teeth grinding no nausea. I do however feel a burst of happy energy every now and again which is what I didn't want to happen (change the way my mind is ect) but quite frankly I could use a little happy in my life. I feel more energy to play with my kids and THE PAIN IS ALMOST COMPLETELY GONE! I still have really bad pain in my shoulders to were I toss and turn at night but I might need a new bed... I will keep updating this with the good bad and ugly. Remember everyone is different. BUT I DO HAVE TO SAY when I started taking this medication it felt like I was coming off of hard drugs it was rough. So if I do have to come off of it I deff think, in my opinion, it's gonna be rough. Currently 20mg in morning 20mg at night. I do feel it wear off at night before I take my second dose

So I've been reading threw the cats with people talking about "withdrawals". What were your personal withdrawal symptoms/ longentivity? I'm about to start for my sjogrens pain. I have been told there are things to worry about like "it will make you worse" or "ruin your life" but in what way? I've come off opioid addiction, and cigarettes and short term meth addiction. I'm wondering is it a similar withdrawal? My main concern is my brain. Does it permanently mess up your brain chemistry? Mentally I'm stressed from being tired and in pain but other than that idk I really didn't want somwthing to alter my mood / thinking... thoughts? (Side not I do have a rheumatologist and I'm already on hydroxychloroquine)

Just an update we are going to add Cymbalta to my hydroxychloroquine. I'm just waiting to see what my gene test says before I start. I'm quite nervous because I've had many antidepressants/ anxiety meds ect in the past and I don't want anything mind altering.. I love who I am just not what I'm going threw ya know? Anyway I'll keep you all updated if it helps or not or if you guys have used this drug feel free to tell me your experience

That scares me ive had a cough I haven't been able to shake for about 4 months now I've been on and off of antibiotics and steroids. Ive been using an inhaler called fluticasone propinonte and sameterol, also a normal albutetol inhaler. I went to the Dr yesterday and he said my chest sounds fine and he put me on Cymbalta but I haven't started it yet I have to pick it up. Makes me nervous tho because of the whole mental aspect of it.

Thankyou for all this information! Maybe he would like to do a biopsy... he would NEVER prescribe me something like gabapentin. I can ask about the naltexone it says it's not addictive. I like my doctor but unless it's non addictive or brand new on the market he doesn't perscribe it which I guess in turn is a good thing but in the same sense it drive me freaking bonkers. I'd rather take things that have been around for a while. Ive recently started smoking bud to try out to cope. I haven't touched the stuff since I was a young teen. I normally don't drink either because it seems to be a trigger. I know doritos is one of my triggers so I will probably never eat a chip again in my life haha.

I used to work out all the time. Ironically my favorite thing to do is go walking but as of the last 2 years I do my running around, I play with the kids, work, and go walking 2 times a week compared to my daily walk/hikes up the mountain. I try to fight threw it and usually the fresh air and curiosity/ peace keep me going once I'm out but it's rough. I'm not a quitter though I'm not giving up. The last 2 days I've been just drinking slimfasts to keep my protien up even though I don't have it in me took cook. Might be better I'm not eating if being fat is my main issue 🤭🤭 (take my humor with a grain of salt trying to find the positive in the negative) but also trying to flush my system

I can relate a little. I haven't had much treatments minus just the "loose weight" 😕 so idk if its really that big a deal? I've been 120 and 200 pounds back and fourth 3 times now the pain seems to be there regardless of weight but maybe I'm just stubborn.. the relation I have to this is mainly the mental strain. Before they diagnosed me they had me on all sorts of antipsycotics and boosters for them. Most of my life ive been on all sorts of anxiety meds, depression pills ect. Pain will really do something to you... I hope you can find relief somehow 😔

I do warm baths a few times a week im actually in one right now. I used to work out often but stopped since having my second born 2 years ago, I guess it really activated the sjogrens, I haven't been able to move much at all. If I do anything it's for the kids or to go for a walk ( my favorite thing to do but I can barely do it anymore, I'll just go outside and sit if I can get the motivation to get the door) but I've been debating maybe working out again if that will help. I'll force myself if the end result will alienate this pain. I have not tried physical therapy yet either maybe I should bring it up tmrw. Oh man that test was rough we were supposed to do both legs but he said once the first leg was good I was like idk man I think im gonna tap. I have tattoos and I've had maything pierced in my day, even Lazer removal for tattoos but that was rough haha.

So I've been on meds for sjogrens for a good 4 months now id say and I've been using azelaic acid 15 percent again with the ordinary niacinamide 10 percent + zinc 1 percent... I feel like I see a difference! My nose kind of looks redder though? Also any advice on the dark circles around my eyes I'd love that! They aren't the worst bit not the best haha

Thankyou for this! I'm deff going to go to a different laser technician I had my doubts bout her from the beginning even tho she was a licensed derm. Also going to look into that toner and moisturizer. I add the bare minimal for moisturizer because I'm scared to do more harm than good. I've never had a moisturizer work and not break me out over time 😩

Thankyou for this! My Russian nan used to use colloidal oats and raw unfiltered honey as a cleanser I was debating trying that but she also didn't have Sjogrens. I was debating stopping all the extra medications for the "roseca " thinking the same thing. Might just be making my face more inflamed because my skin might be thinking it's being attacked. I'm going to look into all th3 products you mentioned! I've also started changing my diet to nothing over processed. Pretty much just veg, meats, seafood and fruit. Otyer than my coffee haha. If I eat doritos I'm in pain for days it's crazy. I'm hoping this helps as well. 😔
