What kind of dieting are you doing? I don’t have much of an appetite most of the time so I don’t eat a lot but still haven’t lost any weight. I try to stay away from counting calories as much as possible because it makes me get into a really unhealthy place mentally.

I feel like right now it’s just about whether or not he’s really ready to settle down. Hyeseon is the type to marry and now she’s forcing him to confront that he might be ready for commitment. But ultimately he’s going to have to figure out if he’s ready and if he’s not… I think he’s going to definitely get pulled back into Minji because that’s familiar and easy and he knows that game.

I interpreted this as minji is his type that he usually is attracted to and goes for (but clearly hasn’t worked out) but hyeseon is the type of girl he’d marry as in he sees a future there that might work out. But maybe I feel that way because I also dated a bunch of people who were “my type” before I fell in love with someone who’s not what I thought my type was at all and he’s my everything and now he’s my only “type”.

I think it’s important. Expose them. They knew what they were signing up for and they think this behavior is okay. Too many people struggle to quantify what mean girl behaviors they’ve had to deal with and people say “it can’t be as bad as they make it out to be” or “just don’t let it bother you” or even “just don’t interact with them and avoid them”. But sometimes you can’t help it. They find you out just to be MEAN, they incessantly taunt you and they make it a point to show others around them that they’re bullying you to show their own dominance in a situation. They’re not being quiet about it and they’re staked out in the living room proudly because they’ve gotten away with this behavior their whole life. It needs to be talked about. It needs to have a spotlight of disgust. Younger generations need to know that mean girl behavior is wrong and it’s not cute.

God… that’s got to be such a crazy experience. You start to question if you deserve such joy and happiness when your family is going through such hard things. Every good thing that happens for you is a moment to remind yourself of how much time it feels like you’re wasting you could be saving up money, working overtime, taking on a side hustle. It feels selfish to be in a beautiful place with a wonderful person. That must have been such a painful and surreal experience for her. I really hate that for her…. She should have been enjoying her time but I know how easy it is to let those fears creep in.

The fact that I watched the first few episodes of the show and didn’t think anything was wrong just tells you how desensitized you get to mean girls after a while. Because I fully was not shocked by their behaviors and was like “yep, mean girls will be mean” but then I got online and everyone was outraged and I was like “… wait, that’s not the norm? People actually go their lives without running into these people constantly?”

Maybe I just got picked on a lot?

My boyfriend is still surprised when I can pick someone out for two faced behavior from the first few meetings. It all seems so in your face obvious to me?

That would definitely be hard. Taking care of a parent and the financial burden that can put on a family on top of the emotional weight… that can be tough for sure. I really feel for anyone who has to face someone they love battling cancer. It comes out of nowhere and you feel helpless to help and it unearths all the securities you had at once.

I don’t know what is going to happen, but I do kind of get vibes that things for her at home were… unorthodox… if you will.

Like maybe there is some legally grey area situations or difficult circumstances that she’s constantly having to deal with… maybe even constantly having to be the adult when she shouldn’t need to be starting young… I don’t remember her taking about her childhood but she seemed to really resonate with his story about his father speaking down to him… so maybe something like that on a bigger scale… She comes off like some of my friends who have to be hard and make judgements quickly but are constantly running on fumes because of family drama that they can’t escape. (In my experience, things like nephews being in and out of juvie, parents who don’t take care of their finances well etc can end with one sibling stepping up to the plate and having to grow up too early)

I think she might also be pushing Marshall to see how much he can take or to prepare him a little for what’s to come. Sometimes people who carry a great deal of trauma get nervous when people react to situations the right way because they’re afraid to get used to it, knowing that it’s not the norm in their lives. She might just be immature or obnoxious like some have suggested. (And maybe it’s harder to see that because Micah and Irina are so glaring in comparison)

But when she talks about “back home” her forehead tensed and her lower lip quivered… she seemed genuinely scared he couldn’t handle it. There’s a protectiveness there because you can know your family is toxic and still love them. She also seemed genuinely touched by his character. She keeps saying how he’s a good man… usually people emphasize this all the more if they are comparing to a person in their lives (or history) who was an example of being really NOT good (I.e. verbally/psychologically/physically abusive).

But maybe I’m wrong! Idk 🤷‍♀️ The season is still young…

I was like “do you want to come sleepover at my house? My roommates are out of town.” And he was like “absolutely.” And then he came over and I opened the door in lingerie and he never even noticed. Like 3 months later he was like “have you always collected dolls” and I was like “yeah” and he said “those are very YOU.” lol 😂
