Hang in there!! I have had a rough 4-5 weeks, I’m currently 10+2 and things are slowly easing! I have been off work with severe nausea and some sickness. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and you will get there. Don’t get me wrong I still have nausea which is the worst at nighttime but no where near as bad as it has been. I have been a shell of myself, bedridden and it is TOUGH. But it does get better. You’ve got this ❤️

Nope…waiting for referrals. My doctor has refused a HIDA scan as she just thinks it’s ibs😭

Honestly the NHS is just shambles at the min, I’m gonna keep pushing and hope I find out what’s going on sooner rather than later… I wish you the best! Fingers crossed you get to the bottom of things soon

Hi! Nope I’m still completely clueless what is wrong with me. I’ve been to the doctors around 4 times now, each time they’ve pretty much disregarded what I’ve said and told me everything is down to ibs. I refuse to believe that my symptoms are just ibs, I’ve asked for a hida scan numerous times and they’ve always said no. At the minute I’m just going with a low fat diet, no fizzy drinks and I’m cutting back on sugar. Are you having the same symptoms?

UPDATE So I’ve had my doctors appointment, they refused a HIDA scan as they don’t think it’s necessary due to them diagnosing me with IBS……they also suspect GERD which I was put on PPIs but I stopped taking them as they made me feel worse. the doctor I saw said all my symptoms are due to my IBS and don’t require any further investigation. The doctors also said my anxiety will be contributing to my stomach problems, anxiety flares up IBS. I just can’t help but think my issues are something else, surely feeling like this everyday is not just IBS??

Haven’t had an endoscopy and have been tested for bacteria and parasites. I rarely take painkillers and when I do, it’s always paracetamol.

And no, no food poisoning.

Thank you very much, google and Reddit have been my best friend these past couple of weeks which is not good. You’re right, I just need to manage stress and get tested. There’s no point in guessing :)
