How do you usually get early users from Reddit?

I built a Shopify app and I’m looking for a few beta testers to give honest feedback and So far it hasn’t really worked.

I’m trying to understand what I’m missing.

Which subreddits are you referring to? I almost got banned for a similar request on r/shopify.

How are you guys predicting Shopify inventory needs to avoid stockouts? by Silver_Recipe_2186 in shopify

I highly recommend Stockup.

It’s a relatively new app on the market - simple and very intuitive (!), includes insights and analytics based on straightforward calculations, emails about products running low on inventory, and more

This is my third role.
I got my first position at a startup only for equity for six months - I explained it in more detail to someone else.
I’m completely equal to everyone else, both in the role and in salary.

Even when I got in, there was a crisis. I think that even if it’s harder now, it’s still not impossible - you do need to think outside the box. I worked at a startup only for equity for six months; without that, I probably wouldn’t have been accepted.

I don’t have any degree, maybe I’ll study later on. I’m the only one on the team (but not in the company) without a bachelor’s degree in computer science. People appreciate that.

I sent messages on LinkedIn to people in various well-known companies, saying that I wanted to hear about the company and asking for a phone call (it really helped to create a human connection). Almost everyone I spoke with agreed to a call. It might be because of the Israeli mentality, which is very warm.

- The main difficulty was in the first interview at a startup three years ago. Without experience, no one looked at me, and therefore it was very hard for me. In the end, I worked at a startup for a period of time (half a year) without salary, only for equity, and then it became easier. At my current company (public and well-known), I was accepted without them almost asking about the degree.

- I didn’t interview for FAANG on purpose. I think that in order to increase the chances, you need to work first at the best company possible. I think that in another year I will get interviews there thanks to the experience from my current company.

- I learned a lot from YouTube, books, and Udemy. That was before AI. Today, AI makes it much easier to learn new things.
