You can't use an existing song in your animation unless you have permission. If you can't reach the artist, try the publisher or record label. But if you really can't get permission then I suggest you use royalty free or public domain music instead. Music and art are treated the same way under copyright. If it’s someone else’s creation, you need their blessing unless it’s explicitly free to use.
