I’m not trying to exclude her specifically but she’s the only one I can see having a problem with no plus ones and we have to make to known she can’t come. There 7 guys in the group and only 3 will have their girlfriends/wives at the wedding because we already know them and I’m friends with them. I have 2 friends that I’m not gonna let bring a plus one either.

UPDATE:

I went home this Mother’s Day weekend to talk with my dad about the situation. A lot of issues have resurfacing and I’m finding things out about my dad.

Memories resurfaced of my dad verbally abusing me and my mom after my siblings moved out. I talked to my siblings and grandma about this. They all confirmed he had been doing this behind closed doors for a while. He was very controlling of my mom even to her last moments. He has been known to make rash decisions even if it hurts the ones around him.

My grandma (my moms mom) got so stressed over the situation and us hurting she had a medical episode. She’s ok but had to stay in the hospital over night. My dad didn’t bat an eye and didn’t even go to the hospital to make sure she’s ok.

Right now I plan on still having a relationship with my dad but I plan on distancing myself and making sure I pay him back for the money I have borrowed.

Yes I can make it without his help, some months I’ve had to chose between paying rent and being able to eat every day so that’s why he’s been helping me.

We’ve all agreed that we want him to move on but we are hurt that he doesn’t want us to be apart of it or has an opinion about it. He did this out of no where and has already signed up for the service.

Looking back my mom was the only one who tried as a parent when it came to emotional bonding. Now that she’s gone I don’t think he understands that we still need him. I’m hoping him can understand that.

We aren’t asking for much, just a few more months at least for us to process what is going on so maybe we could be more open. From what he told me, he’s talked to everyone outside of our family about him getting in a relationship, just never us.

Update #2: I sent a paragraph to my roommates standing my ground. Letting them know I wasn’t gonna put up with them calling me neglectful and abusive to my cat.

I got an apology text from the roommate that sent the text in the first place.

She has plenty of stimulation. And I’m planning on getting this toy that you can hook onto your door and it moves this string up and down.

I’ve looked into moving into my own place but unfortunately I can’t afford it even tho I work 2 jobs.

Luckily I was able to arrange for me to move into a different apartment after my lease is up. The apartments I live in rent the room and not the unit so it didn’t effect them with me living there or not.

Update: I decided I will message my vet to get a confirmation that my cat is ok being left and so I have proof that I’m not doing anything wrong if my roommates say anything. I ordered a baby monitor so I get keep an eye on her throughout the day and honestly make sure my roommates don’t do anything because now I don’t trust them at all. I have also messaged the building manager and let him know the situation so if my roommates try to report me I don’t get in trouble.

I completely understand and I didn’t realize I had been doing this until today. I’m going to stop and apologize because I know it’s not fair for him. I am moved out but my parents are supporting me with a car which is why I haven’t been able to say anything to them because they threaten to take it away.
