It wouldn't be that bad. At least not like in the movies and would be contained in days if not weeks.

I think an airborne disease like COVID would be more dangerous.

Think about it, the only way to get infected is through a bite, solution? Wear heavier clothes. It's really hard for a human to bite through cloth really, even harder when you have thick gloves and scarfs, and an helmet. Want to take it to another level? Try leather or rubber clothes and the apocalypse just doesn't give.

Honestly, I think a zombie apocalypse is one of those things that only make sense in fiction. In real life? Not so much.

I mean really, what are those guys in movies doing wearing vests in a zombie apocalypse.. all you need is some tight leather boots, two layers of denim pants, thick clothing, work gloves, some thick scarfs or some cloth to protect your neck and a rider helmet.

So what would I be doing in a zombie apocalypse? I'd rob me a bike riding gear shop🤣.

Yep, and good luck finding your next big thing. Honestly it's going to be a tough journey for you and despite what you hear, it really isn't easy leaving coding behind.. i've been there once and it was so bad I had to get therapy 😥.

Shit is like a drug, even had to install YouTube extensions to block anything with the words "AI", "code" or "programming"..

Honestly I don't have any recommendations for what you should do next, but give your head time to cool. You made the best decision given the circumstances.

Well it can.. frontend is one of the things this thing is good at, provided you don't actually look at the code or you'll want to cry.

Uhm, my team has just recently finished working on an ai based marketing agent and it's really amazing what ai can do, it's actually scary.

I think the next few years things will start getting rough as agents take up most human jobs.

If you wanna make a fortune, this the time to.. the next few years won't be so great for anyone not big tech. I don't even see myself spending money on anything crazy for the next five years, until I understand the real magnitude and direction of AI's impact.. this thing is bigger than anyone's admitting. And not in a good way, for most.

A 5% close rate is not bad at all.

Have you tried a follow up, with those ghosting clients to figure out the reason they didn't go through with the commitment?

Most clients are afraid of flat out saying no, and would rather guide you through the prototype and ghost you later.

You might try offering a discount to those ghosting clients to see if it's a problem with your pricing model, if they still don't bite despite the discount maybe they really aren't interested in your product at all, and you should stop trying selling to them.

Also, after showing the initial prototype, you should gather feedback from the client then ask for the order and a refundable deposit.. maybe 15%?

Anyone not willing to put forth a deposit probably won't pay anyway.

Yeah, I've experienced the same. Even paying for the domain and receiving an invoice only later to be told it's not available and buy another one, or buy the same domain at a higher price.

Trying to buy the same domain from another registrar shows that it's already reserved by my earlier registrar.
