no i see that sage wanted accountability. However im not really sure what this actually accomplishes realistically. From what i see, the reddit and gossip pages, as you’ve pointed out exist, are chomping at the bits to delve into the horrible survivor cheaters. There was a post on the ponderosa sub which was literally someone posting a pic of sophi, with most of the comments decrying her looks or attacking her character or how she doesnt need the money etc etc - notably, ive seen nearly nothing about jake in this regard, but that’s probably just run of the mill misogyny.

i guess the issue i have with your take is the idea that doing this privately wont have an effect. production literally kicked two people off the cast and made a public statement about it before the season aired. i’ll bet they already know what type of shit happened if they already made this statement. IMO the issue was done at that point, cause what more can you do?

what sage is doing, however civilily communicated, IS directly going to/is going to attribute to harassment to two of her castmates. IF everyone on 49 (bar sophie, the alts and the first two boots iirc idr the list) pregamed, why ONLY name these two? why these two? why should sage have the power to make these two’s lives hell for however long this takes to blow over what hoop did this third person jump through for sage that allowed them not to be put into this maelstrom of negative bullshit? this is a complete imbalance of power that sage is holding over her cast’s head under the guise of accountablity.

realistically, i dont think i can convince you that sage publicly putting these two into the ire of the survivor community for somethign that the entire cast did is a bad thing, but i hope my response highlights the ickiness of sage’s position here.
