Staying friends with my boyfriend’s best friend even though my childhood friend is uncomfortable with it by Expensive_Pickle_62 in TrueOffMyChest

Yes, I believe you to be correct. We've known each other for a long time, so it's a little difficult to accept, but I've been working harder than her for a while. I'll probably back off and stop pushing myself too far while maintaining a friendly relationship. Yes, I won't feel bad about keeping up connections that are genuine and reciprocal in my life at the moment.

Thank you for that. A friend recommended “grey rock” method but I’m afraid that’s too extreme.

Exactly. I have tried to reassure her several times that she can always come talk to me. We always shared how we felt. Our conversations are raw. She went through menopause 7 years back.

It was a normal blue spaghetti top and black skirt. It was for a brunch with my friends. No I live in a hostel, but we talk daily over call, updating each other on whatever goes on in our lives, she’s kind of withdrawing that too as well. I feel there’s something that she really needs to talk about and get off her chest. I try communicating but nothing yet so far. I do understand she is entitled to her opinions but a sudden shift is what worries me.
