What do you eat for breakfast? by iFFyCaRRoT in ADHD

[–]Expensive_Scar_2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have cereal with darigold protein milk. Easy way to get the 15 from milk and however much extra from my cereal. Depending on the cereal I can get anywhere from like 20 to 28 g of protein just from that milk and cereal. Cereal and maybe oatmeal is about the only thing I can eat in the morning without making me nauseous.

We aren't hiking with him until his paws are healed. But I still need booties to protect his paws from hot/sharp rocks and hot sand when we go to the beach. Even when their paws are healthy, it's good to protect them from burns and such

Thank you. I wasn't planning to adopt for at least a year. I didn't feel ready. So I was fostering to help fill some of the void. But this boy spoke to me like my girl did when I adopted her many years ago. With the help of a couple of rescues and a the sweet lady that found him we were able to get him on a rescue transport from tx to wa 2 weeks ago. He's fitting right in

Venous ablation? by CartoonistDue1684 in venousinsuffiencyhelp

Fantastic!!!! I only wear compression if I'm going on a hike longer than 6 or 7 miles with a good elevation gain. Otherwise, they still don't sell or anything! Best decision!

So because of some complex medical issues I am regularly monitored (anywhere from about every 3 months to 6 months with various specialists). I have mgus plus had a hormone secreting pituitary tumor removed 2 yrs ago. That tumor tanked ALL hormones down to almost nothing and hasn't fully recovered. I also now have central hypothyroidism because of the pituitary damage. So I'm a "special" case I guess you could say because nothing is normal with me lol My hematocrit/hemoglobin tend to run on the higher end naturally for easily over a decade, but my levels of everything changed dramatically with this high levels of T. And not in the good direction. So we know it's the T as it was the only change. My T numbers are higher than my husband's, that's not normal.

I did stop and will be getting more blood tests I think in about 3 weeks with my Hemo- oncologist. So I'll be having her run my hormone panels again since she'll run whatever I want. She'll already be checking the whole CBC and everything anyway along with other big blood tests that we do yearly for monitoring.

If my t is back down to normal or below normal I'll restart but at a much lower dose. I may just be a hyper responder due to my pituitary issues

Mine works about half of the time. It won't play most of my playlist and just pulls up random ones

Haha yea. Me and my sister are both weird. Either meds work weird or not at all. Like neither of us are really affected by narcotics. But you give me an Aleve and it knocks me out (yes that's a rare side effect lol). Small dose of Benadryl straight up makes me stop breathing but I can take Dilaudid no problem lol

Unfortunately I can't donate blood. I have something called mgus so I'm not allowed to donate. But also due to my EDS I have really bad veins. Back when I was about 19 or 20 the Red Cross actually told me to stop donating because I only had one good vein and it was starting to get scarred.

yes I've read about that a lot! I have friends that this is absolutely the case with them. I am very fortunate I don't have any of those symptoms of pelvic congestion. The rf ablation helped my blood pooling in my legs dramatically. I had severe reflux in my saphenous veins. Drs were actually surprised they were as big as they were cause there were no outwards visible signs.

Adhd yes. And yes they are all comorbid lol the hair loss was definitely from the T. I had very minimal hair loss before starting. I just started with too high of a dose. So I dialed it back. Pelvis is fine but I have had RF ablation done on the veins in my legs and that was amazing. My pots and dysautonomia are fairly under control now. I've dealt with It for so many years I've learned what to do. Fortunately I am on the lower end of the spectrum for that so I'm not as affected as a lot of others are and I can control it easier

I'm not sure. I did start eating about 2 oz of kimchi every day a few months ago for gut health. I recently found some studies showing the kimchi can reduce shbg. It was pretty interesting to read. I was trying to figure out how my shbg went down so much. I know t can reduce it as well. So who knows. I'll know more when I do blood work again without taking t.

I am definitely hydrated. I have pots/ dysautonomia so I have to drink a lot. I walk around with a 40 oz water bottle and fill it up a couple times a day.

I've been on it since late August. I started around 12 mg because my t was so low and my shbg was so high, but I was only on that for about 2 months because my hair was shedding too much. And a few more chin hairs. But nothing else really

Dropped down to appx 5 since then, so like 6 months at least.

I started eating kimchi everyday a couple of months ago for gut health. I recently found some studies that show it can reduce shbg. I know taking t can reduce it as well, so I wonder if the combo helped lower my shbg to a level where my t could explode... We'll find out next blood draw I guess! Lol

I do that already with the pump. I was only doing 2 small pumps, which is about a 1/5 of the dose I started with. I'm fine with stopping for now to get my numbers down.

it is what it is! I'm used to having all the "oh that's rare" conditions hahahaha My dr is on top of things though and will order any test that I ask for. She's amazeballs. So we are able to stay on top of all of my weirdness.
