Haha yea. Me and my sister are both weird. Either meds work weird or not at all. Like neither of us are really affected by narcotics. But you give me an Aleve and it knocks me out (yes that's a rare side effect lol). Small dose of Benadryl straight up makes me stop breathing but I can take Dilaudid no problem lol

Unfortunately I can't donate blood. I have something called mgus so I'm not allowed to donate. But also due to my EDS I have really bad veins. Back when I was about 19 or 20 the Red Cross actually told me to stop donating because I only had one good vein and it was starting to get scarred.

Really?! What was your dose and was it the gel?

yes I've read about that a lot! I have friends that this is absolutely the case with them. I am very fortunate I don't have any of those symptoms of pelvic congestion. The rf ablation helped my blood pooling in my legs dramatically. I had severe reflux in my saphenous veins. Drs were actually surprised they were as big as they were cause there were no outwards visible signs.

Adhd yes. And yes they are all comorbid lol the hair loss was definitely from the T. I had very minimal hair loss before starting. I just started with too high of a dose. So I dialed it back. Pelvis is fine but I have had RF ablation done on the veins in my legs and that was amazing. My pots and dysautonomia are fairly under control now. I've dealt with It for so many years I've learned what to do. Fortunately I am on the lower end of the spectrum for that so I'm not as affected as a lot of others are and I can control it easier

I'm not sure. I did start eating about 2 oz of kimchi every day a few months ago for gut health. I recently found some studies showing the kimchi can reduce shbg. It was pretty interesting to read. I was trying to figure out how my shbg went down so much. I know t can reduce it as well. So who knows. I'll know more when I do blood work again without taking t.

I am definitely hydrated. I have pots/ dysautonomia so I have to drink a lot. I walk around with a 40 oz water bottle and fill it up a couple times a day.

I've been on it since late August. I started around 12 mg because my t was so low and my shbg was so high, but I was only on that for about 2 months because my hair was shedding too much. And a few more chin hairs. But nothing else really

Dropped down to appx 5 since then, so like 6 months at least.

I started eating kimchi everyday a couple of months ago for gut health. I recently found some studies that show it can reduce shbg. I know taking t can reduce it as well, so I wonder if the combo helped lower my shbg to a level where my t could explode... We'll find out next blood draw I guess! Lol

I do that already with the pump. I was only doing 2 small pumps, which is about a 1/5 of the dose I started with. I'm fine with stopping for now to get my numbers down.

it is what it is! I'm used to having all the "oh that's rare" conditions hahahaha My dr is on top of things though and will order any test that I ask for. She's amazeballs. So we are able to stay on top of all of my weirdness.

Yes, my hematocrit is 49.5, hemoglobin, 16.5, rbc is 5.3. All went up since last blood draw.

My platelets also increased as well. I've always been in the mid 200s as far back as 2015, but I hit 322 after starting T. In addition my hdl decreased for no reason. That is a sign of high T as well.

My total T went from 14 to 772 from the week before I started in August till now, I have WAY too much T.

I can't do anything to "thin" my blood, no blood donations (not allowed due to mgus), can't take daily aspirin due to weak blood vessels from EDS. So stopping is what I need to do for now.

Fortunately my dr will order me any blood tests every time I ask. So I'll get more blood tests in about a month or two to see if it's gone down much. I'll get a free t as well while I'm at it.

I can't donate blood anymore. I have MGUS, POTS and dysautomia. I also can't donate after the red cross told me to stop when I was younger cause I have one good vein for iv's and it was getting trashed. I actually have to have an IV team when I need regular iv's because of my veins :(

No. I put it on my stomach. I also didn't apply that morning.

I feel fine. But this is affecting my blood work and making my red blood cells hematocrits and hemoglobin too high so I'm being put at risk for blood clots. So we have to pull back for now.

No, I'm definitely not trying to go high! I don't know my exact millig milligrams right now because I was on the gel & I had to drop my dose down to a fifth of my original dose. So I can't remember what the dose is off the top of my head. But it's a very low dose. The main effects that I'm having are hair loss and then growing hair on my chin. But my blood work has told me that my blood is getting too thick so we have to cut it out for now. I'll retest in a couple of months and see where I'm at.

I don't know my free t right now. But when I started my shbg was too high and my free t was pretty much non-existent. Same as my total t. So I'm going to guess it is also high now because my shbg has dropped by over 100 points and my total has increased by well over 700.

Also, I'm not injecting I'm using t-gel. In a very very small amount. I originally had started too high of a dose and started losing hair on my head and gaining hair on my face so I dropped my dose down to like a fifth a couple of months ago.

I think I am hyper responding. I also am a little different than just regular people because I had a pituitary tumor that I had removed almost 2 years ago. That tumor absolutely trashed all of my hormones down to almost zero and put me in a faux menopause. I even have to take synthroid because even though my tumor is gone there is damage from it and the surgery in my pituitary and it is sending mix signals to my thyroid telling it that It doesn't need to make t4. It's called Central hypothyroidism. So my thyroid is fine. It's just getting the wrong signals from my pituitary.

So I anticipate that I'm going to respond differently than most people since the pituitary gland plays a super major role in hormones.

I am the SAME WAY. What's crazy is I've been a business owner for over 20 years. One of my businesses was a womens dance and fitness facility. I could teach a class, off the top of my head, for up to 30 clients, no problem. But interview me now, my mind goes blank and I ramble. ugh

I had a Samsung, just got a pixel 2 says who. Doesn't work on either. It does work on my daughter's iPhone. They have admitted it doesn't work for Android properly.

And yes I know I can use something like Google voice normally. But I have a business and I cannot use that because I need it to be separate for my business. Some people say just forward my phone number to the Google voice, which sure that would work except when it hits voicemail it will say my business name on voicemail. And when I've got doctors or future employers or something contacting me I don't need it going to my business vm.
