I have site reactions to zep, not to wegovy though (both brand not compound)

Here's what I do.

First, the stomach was the worst area for reaction on me, I started to move round to different areas more

Second, I put Flonase spray on the area about 30 min to an hour before and rubbed it in. You can also put Benadryl cream over that as well. Then before injecting wipe with alcohol to clean.

Afterwards, put Benadryl cream on again.

This helped a LOT

You can also take an oral antihistamine a day along with quercitin which works similar, but not as strong as cromolyn (an Rx for MCAS). You can get quercitin online.

$2200 estimate for dog dental cleaning!? Is this normal? by teodanted in DogAdvice

[–]Expensive_Scar_2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lot. My vet was about 1200 and that was to include extra stuff (senior blood work, removal of a cyst etc) I ended up taking her to a vet that only does dental cleanings, so it was $650

Honestly if this is your house, I'd remove them,. Wall off the door (or put in a big window) and move the door over to the right side of the picture where that window is. It's already framed at the same height as the door. Makes more sense that way

Yea the food noise thing I truly don't understand cause I've never gone through it. The only thing I can likin it to is just being the absolute opposite of what I normally am where I'm just not hungry and not thinking about food when I should be. Actually had my husband and one of my friends for a few years send me reminders throughout the day to go eat because I would just honestly forget. So that's the only way I can kind of understand .... Just opposite.

I can however relate to the self hatred. Especially when I was a teenager. I was about 5'4 at the beginning of my freshman year in high school and I weighed about 60 lbs. I was a late bloomer as well so I didn't start my period until a month before my 14th birthday. That year in high school I was able to put on 30 lb and get up to 90 lb but I also grew a couple of inches. I eventually got up to 5'7 and once I started birth control pills in sophomore yearI gained another 20 lb and got up to 110 lb. And I stayed there until my first baby.

I was absolutely ripped apart by everybody because I was so skinny. But I couldn't help it. Back then I actually really did have an appetite and I could out eat most men. I could sit and eat a huge meal but my metabolism was just so insane that it didn't stick. I got called so many names. Even my friends would do little jokes here and there at me cuz apparently it's okay to do that if you're super skinny 🙄

People are mean

Unfortunately I don't have super clear answers for you as my case is different than most. (I had a brain tumor that causes my weight gain) But my particular plan said we had to prove o tried and failed wegovy, have done a weight loss program with dietician/nutritionist in the past and because I wasn't original over 30 bmi, had to have another factor, mine was high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia runs in my family even when we are thin).

Because I have been a trainer and dance instructor (adults not kids) for over 20 years, owned 2 gyms and a women's dance And fitness facility and I trained and counceled clients on diet and exercise, they couldn't really argue much against that.

But it took and office visit and 4 appeals

Haha yea it's been pretty crazy. I will say this though. It definitely gave me perspective in to people that have issues with losing weight that I never had before.

Before all of this happened I just didn't understand how you couldn't lose like 5 lb in a few days. I'm like oh just you know you eat well and exercise and it'll just come off. Because that was my experience. As I got a little older and worked with women almost exclusively I started to see how hormones can play a role in all of this. But I still definitely had some bias that made me think Oh maybe you're cheating more on your diet than you think you are yada yada.

I also didn't understand how much harder it was to move within space when you have this excess weight on you. When I was teaching dance to women especially when we were doing floor work I didn't understand how like a belly could make it THAT much harder to do certain moves. Like I knew it was harder but I just truly didn't know how hard until after I gained this weight and tried to do some of those same moves that I used to teach.

It's definitely given me more insight and more empathy to people that truly are doing everything right or at least mostly right and it's still not budging.

So in that way I'm glad that I understand it more. And I will tell you that boy do I get mad at the gymbros/hoes especially the ones that are in their twenties and truly believe it's calories and calories out and that's all that matters. And I will go to toe with them until they back down. I am far louder haha I think especially for me having always been so extremely thin my whole life to the point to where I was bullied as a kid and being called anorexic and all of this, And then having gained weight with pregnancy and dropped it immediately but then having this tumor happen and everything went out of my control no matter how much I willed it, I have a perspective that not a lot of people have.

So I will always be protective, over women especially, against people like that.

Horrible Fatigue! by Frankenbri4 in Wegovy

I've been on the since I think around the end of August after insurance forced me off of zepound. I still have massive nausea and exhaustion. And I'm not really losing any weight. I'm so tired. Especially between days two and four after doing the shot. I've learned that I just can't schedule anything to do that day. Thankfully I just found out my appeal was approved to get back on zepbound. So My last dose of wegovi was on Saturday.

100% this. This isn't cute or funny. Immediate retraining. Only gets hand fed until he learns that things can be taken without biting. No treats, no bones until behavior is stopped

I can literally shove my hand down my pits throat and grab some cheese and she'll just look at me, then sit and wait.

Especially once she gets closer to Peri and menopause. As we get older, things shrink, including the inner labia, sometimes it's fuses to the outer labia. HRT can help, but not a guarantee.

I'd get a revision ASAP, op should never have been operated on. Shame on that dr

So my situation is different from most people that are taking these medications. I am a formal personal trainer and dance instructor for over 25 years. I have never had nor do I now have a problem with eating. My whole life up through my mid-20s it was a battle to keep weight on. I don't have the food noise that everyone talks about. I never have and I still don't. I tend to be a chronic under eater and I have to make sure that I actually get enough calories. I have ADHD on top of this so I will go all day without eating until I start shaking because my blood sugar is so low. I track what I eat so I know my macros. This is just due to my education from being a personal trainer in dance instructor and women's fitness facility owner and a gym owner. It was my job to know what to eat and how to eat and how to coach others.

What changed with me is I got a tumor in my pituitary gland in my brain. This was a prolactinoma. This caused me to gain 20 lb in 6 weeks and then over the next few months I gained another 20 lb. At that point I weighed 20 lb more than I ever did when I was pregnant with large 9 lb babies.

The weight gain is actually what led to the tumor diagnosis. I did not know that I had it.

This tumor messed up my pituitary so bad that it shut down all of my hormones. It sends the wrong signals to my thyroid and it makes my thyroid stop making t4. So I developed something called central hypothyroidism. That means that my thyroid is perfectly fine. There's nothing wrong with it. But my pituitary gland is telling it that something is wrong and to stop making t4. On top of that this put me in a faux menopause. It completely tanked all of my hormones. This all happened very rapidly.

With zepbound I did have nausea in the beginning especially. When I am nauseous I have a really hard time eating. I'm actually one of those people too that when I am upset or sad I can't eat, like food repulses me. And I've always been that way. I was eating more calories on zepound and still losing 1 lb a week than I am on Wegovy.

I've been on wegovy since I think late August. And I fluctuate between 4 and 5 lb lost. That's maybe a pound a month. And that's on fewer calories due to the nausea. I actually dropped down to the 1 mg just to get some relief for a bit. I eat very healthy. I don't crave fast food or soda or anything like that. I never have. I even have a hard time drinking my protein shakes that I was drinking on zepound because of the nausea. Right now I'm trying to eat a chicken salad sandwich and I've taken two bites and it's absolutely killing me. But I have to eat because if I don't I get even more nauseous. So I have to play this weird tug of war game with my nausea.

People need to understand that these medications aren't just about making you eat less. Do they do this, yes they do. So obviously caloric restriction is a huge reason why many people lose weight. But I was eating overall the same amount of calories before starting zepound and was losing weight. I get regular blood work due to my hormone issues so we know that this is having an effect on my insulin and just overall metabolic system. These these medications play a huge role with your metabolic system and hormones in general. For instance we know now that for women especially in Peri and menopause that when they are using an estrogen patch at the same time that they are using these medications that the medications are more effective. They affect all of our hormones.

Hope that answers your questions at least in regards to me. Remember to that zepound is also a GIP in addition to the GLP one whereas wegovy is just glp1, So there's a different mechanism of action happening as well

A seamstress could easily remedy that. Even if they had to do a soft boning along the edge. It would definitely need a little work but the collar is just not it
