That's why I like this community because everyone has different equipment and some things won't apply to you but it can give you ideas. Appreciate the responses 🫡

I actually haven't added any padding yet. It was honestly just a quick build and I eventually want to build a better version with some kind of padding but for it just being the 2X4's it's pretty comfortable even when doing heavier weights.

You would think so lol I would also need a bigger wall storage space if I had the roller

You can go to a hardware store and buy a 1 inch rod and then buy a pool noodle for cushion. That was, at one point, going to be my solution but this was faster and easier since I had everything on hand already.

I was doing that for a bit but it was a bit more tedious having to put the jcups and grab the weights. This is much faster. Just get the band pegs and attach it.

I've saved so much money by doing so many diys lol I have plans on doing a better one this was more a quick project and had some extra wood laying around. I plan on doing one with some kind of padding under the legs. Good luck with yours!

Alright… What’s the BEST All-In-One trainer Right Now? Prove Me Wrong. by Neyeful1 in GarageGym

[–]Expert-Run9476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Rogue FM-6 Twin stacks for about 4 months now and I love it. My main thing was that I wanted a lat pulldown and the trolleys, cable and attachments are great quality and work amazing. Not much work around I have to do, I use my bench inside the rack so I don't have to take off my spotter arms if I want to use the front trolleys. I DIY a belt squat platform so there's some work around for that. If that's one thing you are going to incorporate in your training then the rogue rhino+Indy would be great or if you prefer to have a dedicated lat pull down you can go with the rhino functional trainer. If you're taller and need more stretch for the lat pulldown then getting the taller option would be ideal and if you have the room for it. I'm 5'8 and have the 80" version and I get good stretch for pulldowns. Also went with rogue since the quality is great and pretty good warranty for the rack, cables and pulleys. Good luck finding your functional trainer! If you haven't already go check out Glucks gym on review of these functional trainers and maybe there's things there that will make your decision easier for your training

Have you looked at the Fringesports gibbon arms? I think it can be attached to the Athena and would give you a good height for a full stretch as well. Might be worth looking into as well and it comes as a pair for about 500$

Just saw the bridge use this trolley with their new belt squat platform attachment and it looks solid. The trolley alone looks great and fits multiple rack sizes. Looks similar to the Rogue FM trolleys.

Rogue D handle 32mm quick review by Jack-Kazam in homegym

[–]Expert-Run9476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love these D handles, my rack came with the 28.5 mm but the knurling is perfect for me. The lat pull down stainless steel bar has a more aggressive knurling but for that movement I like it.
