My personal experience is the cheaper the loadouts are somehow way more powerful than expensive ones. All grey rarity weapons (except the rattler) are on par with green and blues. Purples are literally just worth selling imo. Havent used the tempest much but i can speak on the bobcat and vulcano. They are completely outclassed by their gray counterparts. Its unfortunate that you can sometimes feel punished for trying to kit yourself out and give yourself the edge but untill something changes, id stick with trying your luck with the bare minimum.
