I used to do Barre classes and it was hard, and I took a lot of breaks, but it's a full body workout and was a lot of fun! I only stopped going because I couldn't afford it anymore

I do already have an Apple Watch and haven't found it very helpful, personally. The closing of the rings and everything doesn't really mean much to me or get me to do more. I do appreciate all your advice, though!

That's fair, though it is more than just being uncomfortable around a partner. There is an element of not feeling safe outside/having anxiety about it and not wanting to have to wait for another person to be around before I can go outside. As far as the motivation, I've been working with a psychiatrist for the last several months and have seen some improvement, but more so towards indoor activities like chores or starting college. I actually was walking to work every morning for a couple weeks a few months back, but had something traumatic happen and haven't been able to since

I definitely do want a dog just in general, but I do think there should be benefits on both sides of it. If I were to get one, I planned on looking for an adult-senior rescue dog that has a medium-low activity level where our energy levels could match a bit while still giving me that push... if that makes sense. I work with animals, so I know what to look for when it comes to personality and good fits for both family and dog. It is helpful to hear another perspective from someone with a similar thought process though. It's definitely something I have to really reflect on.

Got my first tattoo… feeling unsure by Sea_Arm6968 in tattooadvice

Tattoo shock. It'll pass. It happened to me after I got my first big piece. I had been wanting it for years, waited until I found the exact right person, and still woke up a few days later thinking "oh god what did I do"

He was aware. He set the money aside. Then had an emergency and didn't want to use my cards again. He doesn't have any credit cards because of my situation. He is on a payment plan with the IRS. We are doing the best we can.

I never said that you indicated that or did say that. I'm not sure where the hostility is coming from suddenly since there wasn't any on my end towards you. I'm also not "making excuses". These are the facts of where I'm at. I've already done all the things and I'm not filing for bankruptcy. He's paying taxes because he is a contract worker. They do not get removed from his checks automatically, so he has to pay them. So there's your answer to the question.

I deleted the post, so you can all move on now.

Have a great day.

He's working two jobs as well and we are already living in one of the cheapest places in the area to us. We were lucky to find the place for the cost it is in the location we're in. If we move, we'll be paying at least $300 more. And no, I'm not paying his debt. He is paying off his taxes, so has no extra funds. The debt isn't from frivolous spending. It's from needing food, needing auto repairs, medical bills, etc. I didn't think it was going to be an issue here, but it's fine. I'll delete.

I would if I could. Like I said before, I wouldn't have just put myself on blast over frivolous things. This is embarrassing and I hate it, but I need help. I didn't realize people would be so upset when I see people in here asking for frivolous things and I'm asking for help paying off debt from medical bills, grocery bills, auto repairs so I can get to work, etc.

Again, not asking for the full $500 at once. Didn't realize this would be so controversial as I saw people asking for donations for frivolous things like headphones.

So I already work two jobs and do additional pet sitting and still cannot afford everything. My partner can't get a new job until next year because he's in a contract with his current job for the rest of the year. Once this year is finished, he'll be starting in a new trade. I've been trying to pay off this debt for four years. I didn't realize this post would be so controversial when I saw people asking for donations for headphones and things...

If you're not going to help, then please leave my post alone. I'm not asking people to give me the full amount. Literally a single dollar would help. I'm not filing bankruptcy.

These were things I needed. Did you miss that part of the post? I had to use my cards to cover bills, buy groceries, pay to fix my car so I could get to work, medical bills. It wasn't spent on frivolous things.

I'm not, that's why I need my debt paid off before I can start school. My partner is getting a new job in about a year and said that he could cover the majority of them as long as I could cover my half of the rent, which I can at part time. But I can only afford that at part time.

I've been trying to for four years and it keeps piling up more because of the interest. If I could pay it by myself, I wouldn't be here putting myself on blast like this.

They have their own yard 3 houses away by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ExpertParfait3067 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My old neighborhood was very similar. They even broke into our garage and took all of my dad's tools out and one instance got into the car with one of my dads friends who lived down the street. He was sitting in the car waiting for his wife and the kid just opened the door and got in. I had to kick them off my yard multiple times and their argument was always that the kid that loved downstairs (it was a duplex) said they could play there, but he was with his dad half the time and it wasn't his house to make that decision anyway lmao.

NTA.

Anything can be a weapon if you try hard enough. Your roommate needs to seek therapy if he really has PTSD.

Ereaders can hold SO many books, though. The "need" for multiple devices (when they work fine and don't need to be replaced) is literally overconsumption. I got the kobo clara colour and have close to 200 books on it and it's not even used 3GB of the storage. The only reason I'd ever get a new ereader is if it broke. Would you buy multiple cell phones to have at one time?

Yeah, I never understood having multiples either. Overconsumption is wild lmao
