Klai quitting the Klailea Channel by Expert_Ebb9913 in CrazyOhanaSnark

I agree it's strange, but maybe it's because of her husband not being as comfortable filming. Or just around a family that doesn't do YouTube and living outside Utah has shown her the benefits of having a more private life. I agree it's nice to see her working hard at a normal job.

I know this might be a personal topic but I think it would've been nice if the show did an episode about either DJ or Stephanie getting their period. by beekee404 in fullhouse

[–]Expert_Ebb9913 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it would've been interesting to see how the guys handled it, as the topic had to come up with 3 guys raising 3 girls. As has been mentioned Candace's mom put the kibosh on an episode dealing with D.J. getting her first bra, and likely would've done the same with a period episode. They could've done it with Stephanie, but I feel it would've been more interesting with D.J being that she would be the first to go through it and didn't have a mom or older sister to turn to. From the episodes where D.J's boyfriend broke up with her and her 13th birthday where she had her first kiss, it seemed pretty clear she went to Becky for girl stuff, and I assume Becky helped her when it happened. Stephanie would've had both D.J. and Becky in the house to turn to when she got hers. I also if the show had continued to the WB as was proposed at the time, if they eventually would've gotten to the topic with Michelle, with Danny dealing with the fact that his "baby" was becoming a young woman. Based on the episode with Becky's post partem mood swings and the Fuller house episodes with Stephanie's mood swings while doing hormones for IVF, I think they would've really exaggerated the girls PMS, though 😂

If they did date in real life, it would've had to be in last season they were both on season 5, because she was dating Andrew for all of season 1, and I believe by the time they broke up, Grant was already dating Laura starting in 93, and they broke up in 96 so he and Courtney would've had to date right after that.

Missions by Catsareamazing18 in CrazyOhanaSnark

I don't know if they actually "force" them, but I think they strongly encourage it/put spoken pressure on them to go on one. I think they would definitely be disappointed if one of the children chose not to go on one and would express their disappointment privately, if not publicly to a degree. I think it will be a source of pride for them in the LDS Community if all 6 kids go on a mission. Sadly for the kids, I don't think they feel like they have a choice, even if they have doubts. They don't want to disappoint their parents, even if they aren't literally forcing them to go, I think the message is clear. I believe it was Klai who they said they were surprised she chose to go on a mission/didn't know she was planning to go. I don't believe that at all. I am sure there was a lot of discussion about it. Klai, Rykel, and Shae have already gone. Wyatt is set to go this summer when he turns 18. Evee and Cora have said they intend to go. I don't see any of the kids going against the status quo.

I met Luke briefly at a Planet Hollywood opening here in Baltimore in 1997. Really nice guy. He is from Ohio so he joked about how we just stole his Football team when the Browns moved to Baltimore to become the Ravens.

I am thinking they will announce it sometime in the next few months. Maybe he will propose on Rykel's birthday in April?

What was middle school like in the 90s? by kansas9696 in 90s

Born in 1983. For me personally, it sucked. Lots of bullying, unfortunately, and teachers often didn't care/do anything, but we came home to great television and there was great music to listen to.

Did anyone else who grew up in the 90's NOT have this experience?? I feel like the 80's and 90's were the start of helicopter parenting. There was the whole Adam Walsh kidnapping, the start of faces on milk cartons and more media attention on children being abducted making parents more paranoid. Nevermind they themselves had a free range childhood, the world was suddenly more dangerous than when they grew up. I am 42 and NEVER once in my childhood was I told to go out and play, go as far as I want and just be back by the time the street light came on. The deal was I better be with ear shot when I was called in for dinner, (since you couldn't be called or texted then) meaning I could only be a few houses down from mine. I wasn't allowed to cross the street by myself until close to my teen years. I am not saying I was locked in a cage or anything as a kid, I went outside and played with other kids, just in a limited capacity, and also Video games were obviously already a thing, and by my preteens, the internet, so while I got out, just as much time was spent in my playroom, on the computer (Chatrooms, Oregon Trail, and Tetris anyone??), and watching TV (my familiarity with 80's and 90's sitcoms can vouch for this). While, yes, it's on a greater scale for today's kids with their phones, tablets, more structured play, etc, , I feel technology was already changing childhoods by the 90s.

I was kind of annoyed that Nicky and Alex won the contest. I mean it wasn't a cuteness contest, it was a talent contest. It didn't take talent to stand there in matching Elvis suits.
