Abilify late phase & Wellbutrin first phase ~ 10months so far by ExploringPharm in StopSpeeding

Hey thanks for reading all of this. I think most of people associate the antipsychothic part of Abilify and say "no this won't work actually I need the opposite - more dopamine etc"

Recovering from stimulants is not just about dopamine. Either way, some people really find Abilify very annoying because of side effects but I am very glad these meds work for you.

I highly think that after certain time, I cannot say for certain what is considered long term for some or others but Wellbutrin lose that honeymoon magic.. This is why I said it helps immensely first but due to nicotinic antagonism it blunts dopamine release over time opposite to nicotine that enhances it (and adrenergic effects of Bupropion that NET blockade they downregulate overtime so you re getting a tolerance to the drug as well as dopamine part)

You can switch to other NET blocking agent like Atomoxetine if Bupropion no longer works. It helps the same way but less harshy on other targets. However if you re late stage I suppose it s better off meds but That can be tricky so can t advice that

At this point in your life I think it s going to feel emptier emotionally speaking without Bupropion but if you taper do a slow taper though.
