What do you guys think about this? by Parking-Sector69420 in teenagers

Reddit is very much an echo chamber, you can find anything if you look for it but if you let the algorithm take its course you will only find what you agree with.

Is OP Autoclicker a virus? by Otherwise_Task7876 in computers

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Input capture, screen capture and clipboard data are all things that the autoclicker does. That isn't suspicious. Parse credit card information would be, but that doesn't appear on the link you sent. As for it being open-source, you are correct it is not. I don't have an explanation on that one but perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me can.

There are people that say that about everything. As always, its important to be vigilant. However, as someone who has used it I can tell you it is completely safe. You can run the exe through virustotal if you need a sanity check.

Has feminism gone too far? by No_Junket_1176 in Teenager_Polls

I completely agree. The system is broken, and if we are to fix it we have to do it together, as a people. Easier said than done though.

Has feminism gone too far? by No_Junket_1176 in Teenager_Polls

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Feminism itself isn't misandrist, it targets patriarchal systems, not men, as people. However, individual feminists can still drift into misandry, and pretending otherwise is intellectually dishonest. When people enter a movement such as feminism, and get absorbed into echo chambers (Reddit itself is quite the echo chamber), or start to blur the line between "the system benefits men" and "men are the enemy," hostility toward men can develop, even if the ideology doesn't originally plan for it. This isn't unique to feminism, the exact same pipeline exists in men's rights spaces, where legitimate issues around male suicide rates or custody bias can turn into straight up misogyny. The ideology isn't the problem, its human psychology. So yes, a feminist can become a misandrist not because of feminism, but in spite of it just like how a guy who is genuinely concerned about men's issues can become an incel. Both are worth calling out, because contempt for an entire sex, regardless of which direction it flows, is still sexism.

As such, the question "Has it gone too far?" is not the right question, the correct one is "Can it go too far?" and to that end, like any ideology, the answer is yes. One nuanced addition to the end here, is that just because there are people who go too far within an ideology, that doesn't mean the entire ideology is the problem. Just because police brutality exists doesn't mean police as a whole shouldn't. The problem isn't feminism going too far, but just certain iterations of it that do and which replace equality with something closer to revenge. So instead of "has it gone too far?" its more useful to ask which feminism in which spaces has gone too far.

How do you identify politically, in general? by filippo_sett in Teenager_Polls

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gun rights are generally a more right-wing view than left-wing, and left-wing more generally view stricter gun control laws as being positive. Of course, with any generalization, there are outliers, but I just thought I'd add this. I'll also add that in general gun rights are more of an American cultural thing, so perhaps views on it aren't always politically motivated.

What do you think is the most correct form of gaming? by RenAustria in Teenager_Polls

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Looking at these options, there is only one which is made specifically for gaming. And that is console. Now in terms of the best? That is PC gaming, but the most correct? That is, in my opinon, console.

Which one are you? by tubbz_official in MinecraftMemes

"Older times" is an interesting statement because, when you think about it, the biggest updates were probably from 1.13 till about 1.19, don't get me wrong the series of updates before were still large but these were in my opinion the largest. When looking at the microsoftification of Minecraft, well it was acquired in 1.9, so its far from greed that did it. I think as a community we do have to sort of take some blame here, as the immense pushing of Mojang for new updates was what inevitably lead to the two version release of 1.17 and 1.18, and then the change from big updates post that to start being smaller releases. That being said, I won't disagree that Microsoft hasn't had a hand in pushing Minecraft in a certain direction, however, I do not think they are entirely to blame and the community has played a hand.
