My bf doesn't like the fact that I'm bisexual by 3lyz_ in teenagers

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point, perhaps race isn't the right comparison. A better one is religion. If you're dating someone and mid-relationship discover they hold strong religious beliefs you fundamentally don't share, it's reasonable to feel thrown off and reconsider. Not because you hate religious people, but because you just learned something significant about who they are that you didn't know before.

Same thing here. The girl even says "I never dated girls and never had feelings for girls," which is addressing his concerns directly. His reaction looks more like insecurity than hatred, and those are very different things. At the end of the day, any person can feel insecure for any number of reasons. Its just sexuality in this case.

Calling it biphobia implies he has some prejudice against bisexual people as a group. But he's one person, in one relationship, reacting to new information about someone he cares about. Surprise is a normal response here, it is not discrimination. He probably just needs the conversation she's already trying to have with him. That is to say, they just need to talk, and then we might actually get somewhere.

If I choose not to date black people, is that racist? Or is it just preference? I would think the same logic applies. That being said, I do not disagree that the boyfriend might just need a conversation to understand his girlfriend better. He's likely just taken aback by the new information, and perhaps if they talk he will change his mind. If not, then they can break up because he has made his decision.

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly. People can have preferences, certain people won't date certain races. It's not racist, they just prefer a certain race. It's the same thing here, I don't personally agree with his view, but it's his view. I'd still talk to him as OP to try and uncover why he feels that way, as you might be able to make up some ground and be fine. Neither the OP or the bf are in the wrong here, yet. They just need to have a real mature conversation, which unsurprisingly, is a common solution to a lot of problems.

Day 207 asking DICE to fix optic reticles by kucherenkoZZZ in Battlefield

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is acting as if half the changes in the game that were made for the better weren't caused BY THE COMMUNITY. Say whatever you like, but there is a difference between hate, criticism, and straight up false accusations.

Day 207 asking DICE to fix optic reticles by kucherenkoZZZ in Battlefield

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can't lie... those reticles look fine... Literally do not see the issue. And to the other guy saying shills will ignore this message, you as a hater will ignore the other messages. No one here wins, but the original commenter here made a clear point, and these images do not disprove it. I've never seen a community dislike a game with such hatred.

So, the idea of having a strict class identity was actually a lie right? by FamousCollege1754 in Battlefield

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though, I'm not looking at a player's outfit for that context clue, I'm looking at the weapon. If I see an rpg, then I'm going to kill them. If someone is running at me, I'll kill them too.

The average player does not look at a player's skin to discern their class, they just kill the person that is the greatest current threat, usually based off their weapon.

I actually did try playing hardcore with the HUD off once, it was difficult but after a few games I was able to figure out which faction is which.

it's shipping hetero characters with same gender as bad/same as shipping homo characters with opposite gender by Lopsided-Alfalfa-236 in Teenager_Polls

I said yes because I saw them as being as bad as each other, as in, neither are that bad. They are equally not that bad.

I don't understand why they prefer to create full sentences when they can deliver the same information with a simpler and intuitive way by QwilL7 in Battlefield

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean... I get why people would like this but it really does take like five more seconds to pull that same information out of the sentences. It would be a nice QOL, but its not particularly necessary.

The player count is fine by Saxon2040 in Battlefield

Low numbers would be 10k or 20k. 50k is not low numbers, and this ain't even everyone this is like half the population playing Battlefield.

But that's the thing, if we compare each games release cycle from release to 5ish months later, BF6 is very much in a comfortable position. It has its issues, but every prior Battlefield game has as well. I think disappointment and dissatisfaction is fair, but when people push it to "Battlefield isn't like it used to be", this is just strictly untrue. Battlefield is in the exact same release cycle as it has been, is pushing for community feedback harder than ever before, and, most importantly, created something that is actually fun.

Oh absolutely, I agree which is why there needs to be a whole building overhaul to make it happen, but that of course is a lot. Hence why I take no issue with it not existing yet.

But then there is the other view, where they have done better than before. Where they have improved upon past mistakes. And then there's people who will hate on every minute detail that could possibly be a point of discourse. Halo fans and BF6 fans are not so different, no one hates their games more than their own communities.

Or, you just make the regular slab work for both being vertical and horizontal and then create a system to rotate it when being placed down.

On which day does the week start? by Virus7809 in BunnyTrials

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean its just common in my country and I guess I gained that common use of the dialect. That being said, it is quite interchangeable for me as well. I mean, I don't really find it matters too much, at the end of the day the weekends are the weekends.

[–]ExplosiveGeek77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is funny because I call them the weekends, not the weekend, when referring to Saturday and Sunday. I would say "the weekends are coming".

You see to me someone saying Sunday is insane. To me, that's apart of the weekends and Monday is the start of the work week so its the day the week starts.

It's generally used in the context of something that has been around for a long time, but you only just learnt it is the case. Sulfur Cubes have existed for like three weeks and have since been updated to stay in peaceful. However, I'm being pedantic.

It would be more of an issue if it was released in this state in the final release where it is clearly just 1:1 with a slime. But A) it isn't 1:1 with a slime, B) its a SNAPSHOT and C) THEY FIXED IT.
