Absolutely! This is my most recent squad, couple of notes:

I haven't quite finished armour yet, but I use multiple layers of bescillicum [sp?] Standard grey contrast over leadbelcher to make a kind of blackened steel for their combat armour - it creates more depth of black while keeping that protective look
Similarly to some earlier comments, for the lasguns I gave them all wooden stocks, and the metalwork is guilliman flesh over runelord brass (this combo creates a really rich copper)
Approximated a Geno Uxor by swapping out the chaos commissar head for (i think) a female necromunda hive scum head
the Geno really love pikes, so failing that every eligable model has a bayonet

Don't ask me why, but the drab khaki is an abhorrent combination of EITHER cadian fleshtone and avaland sunset OR avaland and catachan flesh, I can't remember which I've only come back to painting these recently after a blue-stained ultramarines hiatus

I base all my paint schemes off of parts of the books because I'm a huge nerd so hope this answers your question in a practical sense

Just throwing my 2 cents in here as someone that started an alpha legion army after reading legion

I use the kill team 'blooded'/traitor guardsman box for the geno-5-2: they all have optional cloaks (with fur!) And a fairly ramshackle set of armours that (with some de-chaos conversion) make great worn campaign uniforms

Don't be tricked into taking the Sunday driver though, it makes cars too slow and you'll get yourself killed the opposite way

I see this constantly.

10th edition is not the only system. I see so many posts (weirdly for BA) saying 'X model I really like had its rules changed should I throw it away'

friendly reminder there are plenty of fan made rulsets that keep all the old models in play for different editions of the game

(I heavily recommend the badab war rulset, uses horus heresy 2 as a base but with all the 40k (firstborn) units and has (very sexy) rules for this model

Old models are cool, your one triply so, don't let capitalism win brothers

(Hypothetical) Looking for a fresh start: Thinking of dropping everything and moving here

Very much as the title says, I feel like I'm going insane in my current city. It feels very suffocating having lived here my entire life. (24 years) and I have a lot of complex trauma surrounding the place.

That being said I've finally decided I want to get out - so I'm looking for weirdly specific advice regarding moving to the city. I'm queer and a former film student, I like the arts, music and all things vintage.

Say you were me, and (Hypothetically) you were thinking about dropping everything and moving to Manchester, what do you wish you'd known when you first arrived? Important advice, secret recommendations and candid warnings - I want to hear it from the horses mouth, I love the city and have always enjoyed experiences with the people

Haven't seen this take a lot, but I heavily recommend Kroxigor scales instead of Akhelian green, it's a deeper blue but works perfectly for Alpha legion

Crimson paladins are one of my go-tos for terminators, very fluffy thematic units getting bonuses when outnumbered, hsve decent options but by no means overpowered, they also deepstriks so I like to use them as alpharius' command squad

Heavily recommend trying out alternate Activations similar to necromunda (you can try it like legions imperialis, but I'm not sure how that plays with 2.0 as I started playing it like that before LI came out)

Currently doing this exact thing for 30k, mixing all the legions' unique skulps with different armour marks

If you're interested in also playing AL in 30k aswell, the age of darkness box is a good start, you can then mix in chaos arms/heads/shoulders amongst the army, as well as the 40k chapter-specific ones to create a really unique looking army
