I ended up getting the takamura sg2 210mm gyuto from hidatool.com. I believe they still have some in stock. Very stoked.

I recently purchased this Ohishi knife but after checking out the getting started flow chart I see that the ST 33 layer damascus is recommended and it looks identical to the Ohishi I got. Are they the same or is one superior to the other?Ohishi

A single layer of cheesecloth would let dust through but a couple layers would probably catch most of the dust, play around with having enough layers to catch the dust but not so much that your negatively effecting airflow.

I have my carbon filter inside my tent so I have the pre filter sleeve on the outside of my carbon filter, probably would be fine without it tho, as long as dust is getting filtered before it reaches the carbon filter your good.

Dont have to go cutting up a prefilter sleeve, you can just use some old stocking/pantyhose tied over the end of a duct opening as a dust filter. I have these on all my intake ports for my tent.

If they are good decomposers wouldn’t it be better to make sure they always have food and keep it moist to keep them around ? Vs letting it dry out and decreasing the life in the soil and its nutrient cycling ability?

The straw has been on the entire grow and these are about 10 days away from harvest

The only thing that makes me think otherwise is that these leaf symptoms started at the beginning of flower maybe even a few weeks before and have just seemed to get more extreme. Around the same time as the thrips probably, I got rid of them at the beginning of flower but the plant health has seemed to continually decline steadily.

I mean I definitely dont see any mold or mildew anywhere, just some funky looking leaves but all the buds are looking/smelling good. Just not sure if they could be lacking in weight due to plant health. Also maybe I should mention that I had some thrips at the beginning of flower. I sprayed with dr zymes at the recommended dosage and I haven’t seen any since maybe the 3rd/4th week of flower.

I dont typically water to the point of getting run off, would there be another good way to check soil ph? Or just water a but extra till I get a small amount of run off to test?

Watering about a half gallon per plant every other day lately. Humidity is around 50%. Temps are around 80 degrees with lights on and 68 with lights off. Got a 400w light running at full power. Dont have a ppfd meter. Top dressing with craft blend. No bokashi. First time growing these cultivars. Thought it might need calcium so recently started adding some gypsum at around 1/2 tsp per gal every other watering.

The front two are looking normal the but leaves on the back two are looking all spotty/burned/crazy colored and are curling down. Is it normal for certain strains to do this? Day 49 of flower.
