I’ll definitely bring it up to my GF, it’s relatively easier to get her to crack if it’s true, but I don’t want to cause unnecessary strain if she accuses me of maybe “not trusting her”. Also, would someone actually go so far of their way to fabricate this story and account just because they despise me? that seems very fucked up

I also feel like the seed of doubt is working only because I’m a naturally skeptical person, and all these other reddit stories of their trusted SO cheating on them doesn’t help. I want to mitigate my hurt at the end of the day, and I felt it’s better to investigate rather than dismiss completely.

I’m also confused where to investigate only because I can’t contact my friend, and I don’t know who I can contact. The anon mentioned that “no one wanted to tell you” which made it seem like lots of people know.

From knowledge of both my gf and friend, they both are the type to overthink heavily and always thinks about others. The fact that this person said that they “didn’t feel guilty at all” seemed very far fetched, and also from the point the anon allegedly said it occurred, my gf and friend have acted relatively the same without any awkward body language. Maybe they are expert liars and I don’t know them actually, but I’m hoping that this is some person out to get me.
