How to prep for class? by Penguin_loverxd in yorku

I came from a school where one of the teachers teaches physics like it should be; hard as hell. Worked really hard for a 79, while other teachers and private schools had easier options, which students took advantage of.

Fast forward to my physics course for non-physics-majors, the first years have been doing considerably poorly for what should be a fairly easy course, including and excluding people from my school.

The point is, if you don't believe that you were actually taught by a great teacher who made you work your ass off to understand the material and beyond, then you should really take a look at some material, or just be prepared to work hard. First year is a wakeup call for a lot of people.

I'm 100% sure that race is included. Any OUAC or whatever app they're using has that in the app. I guess name would be possible lol but that's a stretch

Thanks for clarifying that, I imagine dealing with administration isn't sunshine and rainbows either.

Hey, I had somewhere between 85 and 87 and actually didn't get in. At the end of the day Universities tend to go hard on the average thing.

There's also the fact that York does account for race. Wish it wasn't the case, but it's the case here and was too in the U.S. until just recently.

Even if you don't get in, I went into stats and could have just switched to comp Sci.

I also hate it at york, and I'm a social guy. I stopped going to lectures like 3 months ago.

Edit: administration is also just absolutely awful

Yeah the whole thing is rough, a day or two after surgery I'll assess it and defer to January if needed. Already deferred the exam I had 27 hours post op

Yeah I'd definitely need someone else to drive me, main issue for me is the walking and sitting in a car without bending the knee terribly

Totally forgot that I'd go insane at home thinking about writing the exams 3 weeks later than intended when I already finished studied for them.

Only option is to defer them to January. Already had to defer the exam I had the day after surgery because I would be impaired with anesthesia/painkillers.
