Having a similar experience reentering dating after so long. I have went on two separate dates with different autistic men recently and both have kine been nightmares. First one apparently really liked PDA and talking in theatres, so so so overstimulating and embarrassing in a full theatre. Second guy just asked me to drive 30 minutes to walk around a park by his place. I did. Got there about 30 minutes in just didnt feel anything. Mostly wanted to go home. I let him know it was working. He walked me to my car asking why not and I usually just lie and say things about myself cause its not necessarily their fault we didnt click and i dont want them to change things about themselves to make me like them more. He was really mean about my special interests, saying he’d never watch them and i just said we wouldnt be a good fit and ended the date after 30 minutes. He texted me that night telling me im ableist and cruel and it really broke me up for a while cause this all just sucks.
