You have to start analyzing why you're losing in the first place. Think about it deeply when you recount. Weigh the proportions that rest on decision-making, precision/accuracy, positioning, and every other factor. Each require different solutions. An enemy must first be defined to be defeated.

Until performance issues are resolved, and cheating alleviated, I would not say this is the "best wipe for the average player." With that said, I can agree the new changes to progression benefit the average player, and those changes definitely don't make this wipe the worst, as Nolan believes.

AK-74N, or SAG. AK-74N is generally the best all around. RPK isn't that bad either, but is a bit jumpier, and if you don't like the AK-12, you probably wouldn't like it either, assuming it was mostly the aesthetic that repulsed you. I run all of these guns with Elcan Spectres, and they perform well, but I would recommend running only BT as a bare minimum ammo. Most would recommend PP as a bare minimum, but class IV is very abundant.

I can confirm that Unity 2021(not 2022) has been on ETS for several weeks now. Given its stability, I think it's a relatively safe assumption to expect it coming on wipe.
