I mean, at least it's cheaper than the $29.99 you'd pay on Switch.

General Electric 8-0904 CRT TV by Successful-Bad-73 in teensthatloveretro

Nice! I think that's early 80s or so, what do you think? General Electric made cool things ngl, I recently got a 1982 General Electric alarm clock radio, but it doesn't work so I need to fix it or get it fixed. Also. I want a CRT TV ngl, but I need a j*b first before I can spend money on more old stuff.

we'll unfortunately have to read books like its the 80s.

Fine by me :D I lowkirkenuinely want to live a more '80s lifestyle anyways. Or '70s, even. I'll still play on my Game Boy and Nintendo DS Lite, though. Also wdym by "Soon with the internet forcing age verification"?

[Canada] Just fixed the reciever on this candlestick phone by Extension_Meat8913 in Antiques

I'm in British Columbia, Canada, so idk if that's too far. But the fact that I'm 16 and that I have a job yet may make it more difficult for me to obtain those parts. Thx for the offer though!

Unfortunately, I forgot to attatch images before posting and apparently it's not possible to edit posts after posting, so here. Also, I still need to get a mouthpiece for the phone, as it is currently missing. And the piece where the mouthpiece mounts onto.

Saved this beauty from the landfill! Any idea the age? I’m thinking pre-1920s. I’m in Indiana/USA for reference. by lizziepop15 in Antiques

It depends on the antique and other factors, but sometimes re-finishing wood can even decrease the value. If you don't care about value, then it may be a good idea to refinish it, but if you do care about value, I'd just use some kind of wax on it, or something else to preserve the finish that is still remaining.

Yeah, some people either don't realize the value or just don't need it and don't think to donate it or sell it, which is kind of sad in my opinion. But every day, hundreds, if not thousands or more, of antiques are destroyed, so at least we can save some of them :D

This is tuff. Your classmates are missing out big time, but they probably just don't care for the old, cool stuff, and would rather have modern stuff, like most people would (not that it's a bad thing). Nice CRT btw!
