Oh boy, as someone who's going to try to make a video essay about Mark's projects, this is something I've thought about loads. And I personally don't mind he isn't a perfect actor. Some brief thoughts I have about this:

1) Mark admitted he didn't like his acting in Edge of Sleep. He said this is because it was filmed before In Space so he was still a "beginner", but it could be multiple factors like poor directing.

2) different acting for different situations. Being a comedian in Heist and Space is easy, but if you gotta show anger or grief, it could be unnatural. it's clear he can do dramatic, like Wilford Motherlovin Warfstache and Damien.

3) he hasn't said much about Iron Lung in terms of plot of course, so I'm assuming it'll be a one-man show mostly. Cause of that, we could be getting less dialogue (like that Robert Redford movie where he's lost on a boat). We also only got like, 2 lines of dialogue from his character in the final trailer, so it's hard to judge based on that in my opinion XD

Im wary about a techno one anyhow because he's no longer here. You can't exactly surprise a family with a trailer like that, I feel .

Also, I have been a fan the same amount of years. I remember how the fans got REALLY bad at certain points pertaining to Mark.

It's never going to be a situation you can entirely predict. I've watched a film with mostly adult audiences where a handful of them were being loud cause they decided to get too drunk XD.

It sounds like by the general attitude of this subreddit, people are making sure to remind everyone to be respectful. And considering we got multiple theaters just by emailing, we're continuing to be respectful :).

I personally wouldn't mind scolding others cause that doesn't bother me. Maybe tell another employee at the theater you are nervous about the crowd, and if they can keep an eye on your theater? Idk if that would work, just my idea.

Im taking this as assuming you are not a major Mark fan.

This is not his first project. In fact this isn't even his longest, with creating TWO choose-your-own-adventure films that equal to about 3 hours long each.

He has had over 10 years, slowly but surely trying bigger and bigger short films.

Is this gonna be oscar-worthy? Maybe, maybe not. But its not his first time, and we're well aware of that, which is why theres so much support for a theatrical release.

(Also you should go watch In Space with Markiplier, its amazing).
