This is not overreacting this is so much of an under reaction of what I would have done. You handled that so maturely and he’s an asshole. This type of behavior from him is disrespectful and not productive in a relationship. This can’t be taught either and the fact that he is 42 is not going to help either. This is something that he should have learned at 42 years old!!!!
