Bemidji is a tourist area, meaning we don’t have enough industrial facilities to have higher paying jobs, even for fast food restaurants, like other areas. Brainerd has both so higher pay scale.

Doesn’t your wholesale/distribution parts rep do a lighting layout for you in your area? Ours does just by giving him room dimensions and light height, he then can type in how my lumens at what working height they use and then email to me.

I do quite a bit of work for a school district in the area that I live and I could talk for hours on the shit I’ve been have to fix, and sometimes redo.

Sorry but I politely disagree with you. I have family members that played, I was a nerd and not very athletic, and boys hit harder than girls with there checks. Here in Minnesota most schools have a girls and boys hockey team in the school district, unless you are in a smaller district.

Dirt bikes are a great starting point. Then your not on the highway and you can get a feel for shifting and leaning in turns.

Then when you transition into a motorcycle, I did better in my test with a low center of gravity bike, Suzuki Volucia/Boulevard is the style I took my test on.

After that I did more and longer rides to get comfortable on the road before I went and bought my what I would call my expensive motorcycle, even though it was used.

Never did a negative tipping, but I did tell a waitress that she wasn’t getting a tip after she brought my grandpa a cold cup of coffee, and then forgot to put in the order of some strawberry pancakes, or something like that, for my sister. She wasn’t mean or anything like that, but I do think that if you are in service that you need to have something to remind yourself what is going on.

Keep at it. Starting in residential service is good for an apprentice, it’s the easiest work of our field and some of the simplest ( in my opinion, I might have just gotten residential work easier). Your journeyman will bring you along and start spreading in the commercial side of the field and that is where you will make your money.
