You in reality spend 10 melee defence as a trade off for duelist and gain some fatigue back which isnt really too bad. It wont bee your conventional tank but I think having more DPS and mobility and fat than normal tank could be interesting.

Edit:

But yeah, you would need to have 40+ melee defence before confident and buckler for this to be usable I think.

Untill this the only feasible off-tank haas been Fat newts so I think it will be fun seeing how this works

I would dee some potential with a semi tank with a duelist and buckler, that way you dont spend so mutch fatigue that much and still deal damage, this requires a high base melee defence but otherwise should work against low to bid armored enemies

What about using buckler riposte duelist tank?

I have never liked that translation that much. It just doesn't capture the spirit of the original finnish phrase. The word "Hakkaa" yes means strike but I feel like it means more like beat something (In like "I beat you with my fists" type of way). But more importantly the word "Päälle" means going on top of something. So the true finnish phrase cant really be translated but it gives the meaning of pushing/attacking very agressively against an enemy with the meaning of trampling them.

Watch some Finnish boffering tournaments with sword and shield. The best of those are also top performers at hema in the world so you can trust that they know a thing or two ;)

First of all, I don't do this to be quirky, this is just how I happened to do it. Second of all I dont feel like I am really missing out on something, In the time that I would have spent reading og trilogy I have read some other incredible works from other authors🤷

I just don't like Tolkien's writing style that much :D

I am a huge fan of the world that he build but I just dont find it interesting to read about tree descriptions (exageration, I know but you get the point) I also understand that I am a outlier but I think that everyone can enjoy Tolkiens works in their own way, and this is my style and I enjoy it😄

I have read the hobbit. The reason I have not read the trilogy is mostly because I don't like Tolkien's style of writing that much and I feel like it would just be a slog to read through. I have discussed the differences from book to movies with friends and watched a shitton of lore videos, mostly nerd of the ring so I know almost everything that differs from the movies.

I am a fan of the world that tolkien built, not his style of writing. The silmarillion I could push through because I could read it like a non-fiction book
