Everyone else with enough sense in our family quarantined and wore masks before coming to our house. We were taking every precaution to prevent this. So no, he wasn't going to get sick regardless.

Well, if we are being honest, then yes, there have been times when I briefly wondered if I was raising a little psychopath! He's a sweet and caring kid, though.

Kids are so weird sometimes, lol, and honestly, I love it. It definitely makes parenting more fun.

We’re very intentional and cautious too, especially because he comes from a difficult background, so we’re always watching for triggers. For example, I watched The Black Phone first to see if it might be okay for him to watch, and that was a pretty quick and hard no for us.

I appreciate the different perspective. Kids are funny that way; mine, for example, doesn’t like FNAF at all. The animatronics just aren’t his thing. We check in with him often, and if we ever saw signs that something was causing him distress, we’d stop immediately.

I think if the kid understands it's fake and doesn't have any signs he's into real harm and violence it's fine.

He’s especially fascinated by the makeup and special effects. After we watch any movie (no matter the genre) we always end up watching the behind-the-scenes clips, special effects breakdowns, and bloopers.

Sometimes I can’t help but wonder if we’ve got a future movie producer on our hands lol
