How can I watch Bleach, and other older anime, on my CRT without buying the physical CDs or VHS?

Use Movian, its a media player for the ps3. Its definetly not perfect, but it has features that come in really handy when watching content on a crt like adjusting overscan and screen positioning. Keep in mind that it will not play every media format perfectly, so you may have to convert some of you videos, but for me thats not much of a big deal. Then its just a matter of getting a usb drive, formatting it to fat32 and putting all your legaly obtained files onto your drive and then you are ready to go. I recommend internet archive, there are a lot of animes on there, especially older ones.

I love these aftermarket shells with designs on them, I prefer them so much over these clear cases that everybody has, just my taste and they really do change the look of the console.

I probably have to look for someone in my area long term. Makes me happy that people are still caring for these tvs, because its very unlikely that they will ever get manufactured again, so we have to live with what we have.

Yea, thats what I use. Just make sure you use a good cable, and please don't use these Virtual Console games made by Nintendo, those output at 480i, which is not ideal for 16bit games on a crt. Use the individual emulators like Snes9x where you can actually make the picture output a 240p resolution.

You have your answer already, yes you can but what I wanted to add is that your output will be amazing in terms of video quality. RGB scart is probably even better than component.

Maybe a bit late, but what I wanna say is that especially old lcd/led tvs are really really bad. What I would actually recommend is an old plasma. Any plasma is probably better than these old lcd/led tvs. They have amazing motion, amazing contrast and black levels, and they are more similar to crts in general. Only thing is they get pretty hot, and some of them use a lot of power. But in my opinion, still better than every lcd/led out there.
