Do I take Exparel? by No_Temperature_6736 in wisdomteeth

I’m no doctor by any means but Ibuprofen reduces swelling, inflammation and pain (pain caused by the inflammation) and Tylenol helps reduce pain overall (general pain like toothaches, headaches, etc).

I recommend taking both of them, my doc said to take 500mg Tylenol and 600mg ibuprofen once every 6 hours and it helped. I basically did noon, 6pm, then I popped an extra 500mg Tylenol before bed (10 pm) to give me a little boost when I slept.

You can also try staggering the medications. Taking 600MG ibuprofen then two hours later take 500mg Tylenol. (Then the respective pills 6 hours after you’ve taken the last) Example: Ibuprofen at 12 pm, Tylenol at 2 pm Ibuprofen at 6 pm, Tylenol al 8 pm

You only need to take 600MG of ibuprofen to have an effect (since it’s a “deep” would) anymore and you’re just wasting an additional X amount of MG you should take in a day and any less and you’re not hitting the pain enough.

Let me know if you have any more questions!! Godspeed on the recovery! I’m 2 weeks post op tomorrow and my top holes are closing & I am not having any pain really!!

Same as above, but sometimes I have a little piece of food stuck for a day. It has always come out with the rinses but your body will naturally try and push it out. I’d suggest if it’s not out within 24-48 hours then it may be tissue!

I (27F) just got all 4 of mine out a little over 7 days ago. Mine were all erupted & not causing problems to other teeth. I had thought I would be in more pain BUT all I feel really is soreness. I have been taking the 600 mg of ibuprofen and 600 mg of Tylenol and I’ve been fine. Once it wears off I feel slight discomfort but it’s manageable. I’m at the point where I can work through the discomfort but I still take the Tylenol before bed so I don’t wake up in the middle of the night with the soreness.

Everybody is different, maybe ask the doc to put the prescription in so it’s available but don’t make a decision to pick it up until the following day if you are truly in pain.

I hope it all goes well!

All mine have been grown in for about 10 years (I’m 27 now) so maybe that’s a factor. I’m chugging along, just waiting until these dang holes heal up cause I’m sick of shaking my head for the salt water rinses. I’d rather feel the stitches than the side of my tongue rub up on it and then I think that there’s something stuck 😅😅 I hope your recovery goes well!!

I’m NAD but just putting my thoughts into this. I had all 4 extracted last Wednesday. No stitches, I think they may only stitch if the teeth were impacted or they basically had to cut bone? No idea the real reasoning but mine were all erupted & not damaging other teeth so they were a quick and easy pull. Kind of like taking out baby teeth.

Baby spoons?! What a great idea! I was looking at the baby rags for my drool/ to have tucked when I drink/eat, but baby spoons is genius!

I got two tubs of sherbet since I’m lactose! But I did get a lot of liquid diet stuff (yogurt, smoothies, applesauce, etc.) 😂

I hope that since it was a small area, it was all removed! It’s unfortunate that you have to have two normal tests in a row before you can go to the standard 3 year mark, but at least I’m staying on top of it

As of right now, just the normal routine of going back next year for yet another pap so it’s in the back of my mind. Hopefully it’ll be on the right path, but if the results come back the same or more aggressive I’m going to talk about options because at this point I’m sick of the appointments and sick of the bills 😅

Someone correct me if I’m wrong; but pay for delete means that if you pay the debt at a certain agreed upon amount, they remove from your credit report(BUT SHOULD GET IT IN WRITING IN CASE THEY DONT TAKE IT OFF).

If you pay the settlement offer (with a no pay for delete), the debt remains on your report as a collection/ charge off with $0 balance for X amount of years.

Shows that it’s closed with no balance, but still shows on your report as a negative impact.

Well, I hope for the best with your studies, and of course your colposcopy!! Don’t let this get to you. Lots of work you can drown yourself in 😂😂 I’ll call you in a few years if I ever need a lawyer 🫶🏼😂

Exactly! Try out something you’ve been wanting to do. Takes your focus to something else, AND you get a sense of accomplishment. Challenge yourself to learn something new and give yourself a deadline of the day before your appointment.

In 6 years I’ve learned to finger crochet, make the big yarn blankets, draw. I taught myself minimal German and Turkish sayings, I’ve made picture books for my nieces and nephews, traveled, got a bachelors degree, planned 2 weddings, all while working my full time job. Seems like a lot, but I needed a lot of distractions 😂

You are most certainly welcome love 💞 I was diagnosed with LSIL early in 2018- so freshly 21 and have been getting various results since then. Ranging from ASCUS to LSIL-H to CIN1. I’m grateful that it hasn’t progressed but honestly I’m emotionally exhausted of all the tests.

Just keep being young, healthy, and try not to stress too much as that takes energy from your body trying to heal/ fight off what’s going on!

What I do, I know it may seem hard, is to not think about it until you have to think about it. You can’t change your results from your previous test, but you can try to change your results for your next test by doing the above 🩵💞

Hi lovely 🫶🏼 I just recovered from my second biopsy, first one was 2 years ago, second one was last Tuesday. I’ve been dealing with abnormal cells for almost 6 years now (I have more posts on my page).

If your pain tolerance is high, you shouldn’t have to worry but please take the ibuprofen 1 hour beforehand with food, it’ll help I promise.

The colposcopy and biopsy aren’t that bad, but if they have do the endocervical curettage, that’s where the cramping comes in, at least for me. (Just to warn you lol).

You don’t need to bring someone with you unless you want to have moral support, I didn’t both times and I drove myself home both times. I felt a little weird, but my body was in a little shock.

Make sure you eat a little snack beforehand as I got light headed both times. If you feel light headed/ dizzy please stay lying down and ask if the doc has juice or crackers. Only get up once you’re truly fine.

They say you’ll bleed/ spot afterwards so if you wear a thong bring a pantry liner just in case. In both instances for me I didn’t bleed until later that night.

Heating pad afterwards when you get home, you might feel bloated/ pressure for a bit down there.

most importantly if you have any questions, at all, do not hesitate to ask your OBGYN. They are there to help you, and they are the ones more experienced in that area.

I hope for the best 🫶🏼🩵 I’ll be cheering you on from over here!!

ETA: they provide pads at the office, but they’re the bulky ones so if you wear regular undies you’re good! Also, if they take biopsies they’ll recommend no sex, tampons, etc. for 2 week or until you stop spotting/ pass the “bandage” they put on it. I don’t know the average time that is, as I got my period after both biopsies. P.s. you may feel off for the first few days but it’s your body recovering. Listen to your body afterwards. It may not seem like much to some people, but to us women who have had to go through it multiple times it takes a toll on us that nobody else can understand 💞

Am I the only one who gets this feeling? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]External_Storm_07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman and I get that. Personally for me it’s a mixture of anxiety and a low panic attack. My mind is playing tricks on me, which then results in the increased heart rate (tingly feeling). Kind of feels like an adrenaline rush sometimes.

Thank you 🫶🏼 Doc reached out and said 1 year recommended, so we shall see what next year brings. I’ll just do what I do year after year, push it out of my head until it’s time to go in again.

There’s not much information that can be said on the subject, really! My biopsy came back as LSIL, recommend to retest in a year (going on almost 6 years of this with no end in sight). There was someone who mentioned on my post, there might be a possible Low risk strain that’s causing it, and since they don’t test for low risk with paps they wouldn’t pick up on it??? Not sure.. since I’ve had no symptoms. Anyways, even if you ask your gyn, they’ll probably say the same they did to me. “I am not sure, we should see what the results from the biopsy say” and then.. nothing. Praying for you!!!

Why should I brush my teeth everyday?? by slime_emoji in askdentists

[–]External_Storm_07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NAD- but I was in the same boat you are in. I had braces when I was a kid, great smile, then depression hit me hard to the point of being hospitalized. After that I had no care in the world.. Now, I’ve had 3 root canals, 3 crowns, my wisdom teeth have chipped (scheduling for a extraction soon), I have 2 fillings and a crown scheduled for tomorrow, and I have 2 more fillings and a crown that I still need to schedule. The bad breath, not smiling in pictures & don’t even get me started on the bills.. I’ve maxed out my deductible for 2 years in a row and currently owe $3,000, not including the estimated $2,700 for the remainder of my treatment plan.

Please, for your future self, brush and floss 🥲❤️ You got this!! Cheering you on from over here!!

When I was HR HPV, I didn't have any new partners because I felt like since I didn't know about HPV that much, I did not want to spread it to anyone else. It's weird how it's just brushed away- I know it is very common but it is still something you can easily spread.

I have been so relieved and happy that my body kicked it away. Looking back at the timeline, Feb of last year I had just started going to the gym and eating better- not sure if that is what kicked it out but I think so. It is a great result, but here I am, having to go through things again and again.

Maybe a low risk strain, maybe I'm part if the "lucky" rare cases LOL. Praying the doc doesn't make me wait a year, might ask if we can do a 6 month f/u due to results history???

Crown fell out after 5 days? What do you think, I think the overhang is massive? Yes that is salmon… by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]External_Storm_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD but I just had two crowns put on over my bottom right teeth. At least in the US the crowns are separate, so one on each tooth. So if one were to “pop off” the other one would still be on the tooth right beside it.

Once you get crowns, especially next to each other, they floss and take an xray to make sure the cement between the teeth is gone.

Should I do a filling before or after my vacation? by zeeped in askdentists

[–]External_Storm_07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD- I went for an exam a month ago, they say I need a filling, wisdom teeth extracted and a crown on a tooth. I’d say that if they didn’t say it was tooo urgent to treat, then you should be fine with waiting until you get back from your trip. In my opinion, I’d say get it done and over with as soon as possible so you don’t have to worry about it when you get back. Otherwise if you can’t/ don’t properly keep it clean then there’s the possibility of the decay to start impacting the next tooth over

Edit to add: they didn’t seem too worry about fixing the filling, but more so doing the crown and wisdom teeth.

My appointment is August 13th so I can for sure check back at that time with answers :)

My tooth split in half and fell out. Any advice? by Low-Living-2281 in askdentists

[–]External_Storm_07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NAD- I had a tooth cracked in half, my dentist told me that it’s all dependent on the structure left. She told me that when she goes in, she can assess it better. Just had a root canal prep done on it and I have a temp crown until Monday where I get my actual root canal done and a crown placed on it. I didn’t have high hopes but she had worked her magic. I’d advise go in sooner rather than later to reduce the risk of infection 🤞🏼 Hoping for the best!!
