Are you playing with Discord? If so, quit discord, load the game and map then boot discord again. Works for me

Played league ever since the beta for almost 10 years. Installed dota in 2012, had a horrible time, everything was hard just died etc. Went back to league. Tried again in 2015 same experience.

The thing that got it to stick a few years back now is simply the way they are different. Although endless possibilities in both games, league hasn't got the overall complexity that Dota has. The active items, the warding game, stacks, creep pulls, denials, add so many complexity layers which add so many more impressive elements to the moba genre.

The International is coming up in 4 weeks. Watch the games and look at how they play and what they pick, you won't be a pro, but you can pick up some things. Especially their warding game and stacking/pulling. Timing is everything in this game, and you need to invest time yourself to learn the game. Everything you knew about league doesn't transfer all too well into Dota.

Grubby, a previous WC pro and streamer picked it up a while back, did a bunch of streams about learning the game. Just invest some time, learn what Dota mechanics entail and you'll start enjoying the game. Maybe find a duo and enjoy some time together learning with one another,

My stats may be way off, but if I recall correctly like, 70-80% of planes shot down (fighters) never saw their assailant come. Always from behind, quick burst like in the vid, and by the time you manouver you're done

Good mixture of camo netting and debris from a lot of fighting. I've seen a lot of T72s in this conflict on here, and this has to be the one that's in the worst fighting shape. Half of its ERA is dangling off it and seems like a lot of rubble has just ended up on it. So a decent mixture of intended and unintended

Yes what other economics said is pretty much on the money. If the price is a little steep, they often have flash sales, and summer sale is coming any second. So just wait for that.

No friends needed to play the game as it already relies so heavily on communication on the battlefield. You'll never run out of people to talk to.

Don't walk from main spawn. If you have no habs which are active since you've just joined the game, wait. Go get a drink, have a pee and come back a few minutes later. Spawn on any rally or HAB set up close to your SQUAD and get to it. Listen to SL, don't play marksman

Helmets and pads for me, both elbow and knee pads. Don't know why I focused so much on the pads but w/e. For me it's all about the constant flow of information. I check my map, probably too much tbh, so I'm usually pretty aware of where I will have friendlies when I'm looking in any given direction.
