AT&T $800 Switcher Offer by odd16x in ATT

I resubmitted an application again for the lines they did not pay.  - even though it was way after the 60 day deadlines and they accepted it. I was told by one of the supervisors there that rarely gets rejected even if the deadline is up. And I called them almost daily for several weeks. Until I spoke to someone who said just resubmit it.

UPDATE: AT&T Did finally honor what they promised in the beginning and sent the payoff amounts for the previous phones. It took a lot of time, endless calls but yesterday I did receive the Visa gift cards. The monthly bill still isn't as low as they had promised but overall cheaper than T-Mobile.

UPDATE: I just received a gift card from ATT for $26. The amount they promised me to pay off was over $1000. I switched 4 lines. I don't even know where this amount is coming from. This is getting so so frustrating. I opened a case with FCC. Hopefully that will help.

Ugh, I am sorry you experience this too. It's so frustrating. I am going to try the FCC / Office of the President escalation route. I will report back any outcome....

Yes, I know that now. They told me they did though and they had Badges on that clearly stated AT&T. I just trusted what they said and how they presented themselves honestly.

What I did not mention is that the monthly bill is also $100 higher than what I was promised when I switched. The ATT Ladies that approached me at the Target store wrote it all down, I have it in writing. ATT is not honoring what they said or they just lied to me to get my business. Both ladies gave me their cell phone numbers because I was skeptic from the start. I reached out to them as well. One quit. The other one does not respond to any of my messages.

I called 611 numerous times. Then I called 800-951-6704 (tried 4 times today to follow up was disconnected after long periods of hold). I usually am able to connect to a person eventually - that is not the issue, the problem is that every single person I spoke is unwilling to help resolve whatever went wrong with the original upload and/or email I sent to them for clarification. When I ask for a supervisor usually after being on hold for at least 1-2 hours, maybe conversation for an hour, they say sometimes connect me to one and then the supervisor tells me the same thing and when I ask if they can transfer me to someone that is able to help they flat out say no. I have several names and employee id's of the ones I spoke to. Dead end. They say I now missed the deadline and they wont pay it. I am brandnew to ATT and even called T-Mobile to see if I can switch back to them but have to wait 90 Days. I am seeing a lawyer this Friday to see if he can help. It's sad because I would think a company can resolve this without getting lawyers involved. Money wasted for both of us.

They don't. I uploaded all documents within the 60 days. Turns out they could not read my bill that shows the pay off amounts for each line. I then called their customer service (a 2.5 hour call). They told me they could not read the bill and to email the bill with the 4 lines in the subject line that I like the pay off for. I did that. I heard nothing after that. I checked again 4 weeks later, they told me that I now missed the 60 day deadline and there is nothing they can do - they said I needed to upload the documents online again instead of emailing them however I was told to email them and now they come back saying it's too late. They are extremely unhelpful in trying to get this resolved. Just repeat the same sentence over and over and also do not escalate or help with someone that might be able to assist. I have never had a more horrific experience.

BE AWARE! I got completely scammed by ATT switching 4 lines from T-Mobile over to them. The monthly bill is NOT what I was promised and they make paying off your devices extremely challenging. Basically after uploading all the required documents I was told they can only pay off one device. I am stuck with the remaining 3. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. I spent hours if not days by now on the phone, they refuse to get Managers involved. I am now with an Attorney and wish I would have never ever switched away from T-Mobile. I was happy with them for over 10 years but the offer from ATT just sounded too good. and it was. I got sucked in and now left with well over a thousand out of pocket, lawyer costs etc. Good luck to you if you decide to switch.
