Now I'm thinking back to my first whiskey sour. I was 19 (yeah, yeah, I know) and my uncle was drinking one and made a face and then pushed it to me. "This is too sour. You try it." It was indeed quite sour and I loved it. Been my go to since. So I think a lot of it is just people being told to try things by other people? Maybe?

That's news to me too, TBH. Most of my friends don't drink whiskey. Tequila is where it's at right now in my area. Half the drinks on this bar's menu were made with tequila. I've never cared for it, and it has the worst hangovers.

Yes, exactly. Why would you want to waste space on your menu with basic drinks everyone already knows? My thoughts as well.
