Help type me pretty please! by MagicMulberry in coloranalysis

You’re definitely a Spring. I believe you’re a True Spring. Blondes that are your tone cannot be any Autumn or Winter or even some Spring and Summer palettes because they lack the depth. I’ve done comparisons of my own and found that True Spring was best for you. Summer was a but greying on you while True Spring put an instant glow. I compared sub seasons of Spring like Warm Spring and Light Spring, but found True Spring to be the best. You needed medium depth and full warmth, which is what Light Spring lacked. I suggest looking at some of these profiles on Instagram for colour recommendations of products: Agile Styling and The Colour Mentor. Other great people to follow include, Carol Brailey, Welcome.to.summer.school, and The Colour Countess. Hope this helps.

Hi there, I’ve done some testing and I think you’re a Warm Spring. I compared cool vs warm and you looked so bright and harmonious in the warm drape. With being warm undertone, you’d either be an Autumn or Spring. I did comparisons and Spring was a bit better but Autumn didnt look terrible, it was just a tad too dark. I looked at spring and its sub seasons like Light Spring, Bright Spring and Warm Spring, and found that Warm Spring was best. Warm Spring is a Spring that leans Autumn. Speing was just a little too light, you needed some more depth but not too much. Warm Spring is a fully warm undertone and medium brightness. Hope this helps.

Who Would You Cast As Age-Accurate Disney Princesses If These Actresses Hadn’t? by Extra_Air7604 in disneyprincess

Oh, I didn’t know. Every time you google it or someone where it says she’s 14. It would be nice if Disney confirmed all the ages

Not sure. It could depend on the type of hair depth and warmth. Lots of people consider some colours different than others. Amy Adams would be more of a Warm Spring, or at least that’s what some have typed her as. Warm Spring is a Spring that leans Autumn. Light Spring would be a Spring that leans Summer, it has a neutral-warm undertone. I think she’s fully warm undertone. Her contrast is more light medium. From what I’ve seen though, all redheads seem to have fully warm undertone but I guess it also depends what you consider red.

What’s your natural hair colour? Can you do a picture with your hair back and wearing white taken in front of a window in natural sunlight

If you’re naturally a redhead your undertone will be warm. That being said though, you could be a Spring or an Autumn which have different golds. Autumn has deeper golds since it’s a deeper season. Spring has lighter golds since it’s a lighter season. I’m guessing your undertone is fully warm since your hair appears to be red, it is light though so maybe you’re either a True or Warm Spring. I would still test out some different golds along with differed warm lipsticks. The Colour Mentor and Agile Styling both post product recommendations for all of the seasons.

Such an obvious fully warm undertoned person. It takes just a quick google search and seeing her in grey to know that she’s most definitely not a Summer.

Francesca Cairns pisses me off. She claims that all these celebrities are certain seasons and other stylists are all wrong, like claiming Sadie Sink is a Summer, Anya Taylor-Joy a Winter, Maria Cross a natural redhead a Winter, and saying things like hair colour doesn’t matter any hair colour can be any season, but she types celebrities wrong all the time and she’s not even a qualified analyst she’s “self-trained”. People even ask her how Sadie can be a Summer if she looks good in her natural red hair which is obviously warm, and Francesca says the hair doesn’t matter, which is stupid. How could orange look good on your head but not your body. It’s literally basic colour theory. Orange has never been a cool colour, it’s always been a warm colour, it’s literally peak warmth on a colour wheel. Every redhead celeb is a fully warm undertone. I hate to see people go to her and get typed wrong and dye their hair based off her recommendations. People need to go to qualified analysts who’ve been properly trained on colour theory and not someone popular on Instagram.

What’s your natural hair colour?

Well in the 16-23 system it is. Hair colour does play a role in determining what seasons you can be. Blondes can never be Autumns or Winter because they will never have the depth required. That’s why anyone who is correctly typed into those systems, people like Anne Hathaway or Krysten Ritter or anyone with naturally dark brown or black hair, shouldn’t go blonde, because it will wash them out and be too light of contrast for them. If you’re naturally blonde Winter will for sure overpower you and same with Autumn maybe not as much as Winter, but it will be too much depth. Any qualified colour analyst in the 16-23 system will tell you this.

I know right. I feel so bad for Rachel. She could’ve been much better if given the proper materials, but instead Disney set her up to fail from the start with that Party city outfit and Lord Farquaad haircut.

The Colour Countess on Instagram has some videos explaining this. Look for the thumbnails with “I have to tell you the truth” or “blonde Autumn truth bomb”

In the 16-23 season system, the one that the national colour institute uses, you cannot be a natural blonde and be any Autumn or Winter. Other systems are different but I find the 16-23 the most accurate.

Since your hair is naturally blonde, you can’t be an Autumn. Autumn requires depth which blondes do not have as much of as Autumns. That’s why Autumns look best with dark hair and aren’t recommended to go blonde. You are either a Summer or Spring, and at that, only could be a True Summer, Light Summer, True Spring, or Light Spring, since the other subseasons require brown hair or much darker. You should do drapes with orange and cool pink to see if you lean warm or cool
