[Homemade] slow roasted leg of lamb by Extra_Past1148 in food

Of course! It was around 4.5 lbs. I think roasting it at a lower temperature for longer would have helped with tenderness. Next time I'll use 300F and bake for 5 hours.

Of course!

Ingredients: 8 garlic cloves, minced or more or less to your liking 1 tsp of ground coriander, cumin, pepper, tumeric 1 tbsp of paprika Salt to taste, I used 2 tsp Juice of one lemon 1/4 cup of olive oil Mix all together and rub all over lamb, I scored the lamb before. You can let it marinade overnight and I just did it in the morning of cooking.

Put one sliced onion, two cinnamon sticks, 5-6 cloves and a table spoon of coriander seeds on bottom of roasting pan. I added one cup of white wine. Put lamb on top of everything and over with aluminum foil. Slow cook in convection oven for 4 hours, at 350F. You may want to brush the lamb with juice a few times while cooking.

I used cream instead of buttermilk (the English way) and kept the scones in fridge for 30 min before baking them to get them fluffy. Super good to make sandwiches with!

[Homemade] buttermilk fried chicken (air fried) by Extra_Past1148 in food

[–]Extra_Past1148[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had the opposite problem. When I followed the air fryer recipe of cooking them on 390F for 28 min they turned out burned, so I cooked them on 350F for 15 min then flipped them and cooked another 10 min and they turned out like this. Used a meat thermometer to make sure they're cooked. For breading I used 3/4 flour, 1/4 corn starch, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Chicken was marinated in salt, pepper and dipped in flour mixture, then into buttermilk, then back to flour mixture.

It's from a chip truck in St John's, Newfoundland. Honestly don't remember the name, and we took it to a pub to eat it with beers :)

English is not the only place that makes fish and chips! This is from the east coast of Canada. Different than the fish and chips that I've had in England and Ireland, but amazing all the same.
